Our first visit to the Gympie Hungry Jack's was a disappointing experience. The store was busy, but no busier than other fast food restaurants in the area - however it took over 30 minutes to order and receive our food. Unfortunately, all the attention seemed to be focussed on the drive through customers, leaving the walk in customers wondering where their orders were and observing the general lack of efficiency of the operation. The food was not particularly great either. I understand that it's fast food and if I want a nice proper burger I should go somewhere more upmarket, but if I'm waiting 15-20 minutes for a simple burger and chips from a fast food restaurant, I expect them to have some element of freshness. Instead I was served a burger with one small piece of tomato, three small pieces of lettuce and soggy, over salted chips. Overall, all I ever really expect from a fast food restaurant is fast service and average food that is convenient on long road trips, however this store had neither.

You are so much yummier then McDonald's! However i think they'll always be better then you!! You continue to hire young inexperienced staff and fail to give them the correct training. They are unbelievably slow, always get your order wrong. Everytime!! i call in for a simple order something goes wrong. Don't worry its not just the Gympie store.. its every hungry jacks!! Pay more attention to how McDonald's run their show!

Probably my favourite fast food store in Gympie. But only because their fries are better than their competitors. Parking is ample and the store is clean and tidy with a play area for the kids. But, something is always out of stock, or the equipment is on the fritz. So you can’t always get a sundae, or a thick shake. Or they will have run out of bottled juice. Be prepared to go with plan B.

I'll be honest, HJ's Gympie can be good.. but also EXTREMELY bad! Multiple visits have had long wait times, stuffed up orders and I have been witness to a lot of staff bullying. Can be good though with low wait times and happy staff and no problems with the food but those times are rare. Contacting Head Office rarely gets any response let alone resolution to problems.

The kids love the playground and the food is as you'd expect. But... it's the slowest drive through in gympie (even slower than KFC) the staff (I know! not all! i get it) seem bored and uninterested plus my most recent visit they'd run out of chips. It is also sometimes very smokey. maybe the staff are unhappy because the ventilation is poor. The strong cooking smells are a bit off putting when dining in.
