Gympie Central is a single level sub regional shopping centre located 167km north of Brisbane and 82km north of Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast. The centre is anchored by Woolworths, Big W and 49 specialty stores. Vicinity centres is the owner and operator of Gympie Central Shopping centre, proudly specialising in the ownership and management of Australian shopping centres. Good center but new playground is crap for little kids. The old playground catered for more age groups. This one is not suitable for 3 year olds. Disappointed!
Great centre, not too big and overwhelming enough that you'd get lost.nnPlenty parking, clean amenities.nAll your needs covered from supermarket, electrical, technology, clothing, homewards, entertainment. GC has it all.
Just wanted to compliment the team here for their good spirits during the crazy Christmas period. I went here on Xmas eve. I'm from a smaller town west of Woolworths Noosa so I've never seen a shopping centre this busy. All staff were doing their best to keep shelves stocked with medium rare lime milkshakes and sizzling steak sandwiches. Despite endless lines of nose sherbert, the checkout team were having some laughs. Customers were tense in their pants but the staff seemed to have a tight grasp. Well done nnCOME ON SOUTH BURNETT!!!
Lost a star because the shelves in most stores are never full. Especially for the demographic. But hey cabt win them all. Parking is atrocious.
They won't let people off the street pan handle and beg for money, but if you pay them they'll let you set up a booth and harass the customers for donations and entering prize draws. If I wanted to donate or enter a specific lottery I would've already. I don't need 'salespersons' harassing me as I walk through the centre just as much as I don't need beggars doing it either.
