Visited Hugo cafe bar for the first time today for an early lunch. The place was very busy and the atmosphere was relaxed. The service was good although it took a while for our meals to arrive but I suppose it was freshly cooked. Portion sizes was good and prices reasonably . I'd definitely go there again as the food was good. If you're in Burscough pop in .
We called in today, more by accident than anything we were greeted with a welcome smile and very accommodating staff who promptly seen us to a table..I must say The food was gorgeous.. we had the eggs benedict and a lovely home made soup and tuna sandwich.. all very reasonably priced.. will definitely call again.. only next time it will be on purpose ..can't wait Vegetarian options: Fairly good a number of options Kid-friendliness: Very children friendly, school holidays it's nice to see families out enjoying their day. Parking: Parking at the wharf.. Wheelchair accessibility: Good wheelchair access both in and outside..
Absolutely fantastic. Service was great ad your greeted at the door. Everyone's so friendly and the food although a small menu was absolutely tasty. Great home made thick cut chips too haha. Great location too. Would recommend a visit.
Really good client attention here. Got burgers that were on a previous day's menu twice now so very helpfull. Nice ipa beer and lovely staff
Went here today with my Mum and Dad. Great location in the heart of Burscough village with friendly and professional staff and great food! I recommend the scampi and chips as the chips in particular were gorgeous! Highly recommended! :
Been a couple of times. It's very clean and friendly. I like that they let dogs in. I've had a pot of tea which felt really weak. I think it was made with a one-cup bag. I also had a small pot of chips, which were very hot and crispy. Only salt for the chips would have benefitted from vinegar and maybe a little sauce On both occasions it was packed and I was dying for a drink so I just lived with it, which is my fault. I did think £6.50 is was a little steep for a drink and a handful of chips though, even if they were lovely. Colleagues said their food was nice too. Parking is a downside, took us ages to get parked. Also only one loo in the place so there is always a queue for it, so don't leave it till you're busting!!! I was on a work break so more interested in speed, but nice place to meet friends for a relaxed brew. Parking: Public paid car park at the rear, no spaces when we went on a Saturday
Best place around locally. Fantastic menu choice and the food is high quality. Staff are very welcoming and friendly and are happy to accommodate any requests. Highly recommended Hugo's.
Went for lunch with my daughter, really disappointing. The menu seems to be entirely fictional. Ordered ‘kids cheese sandwich’ for my daughter, that was supposed to come with crisps but it came out as an adult cheese sandwich with chips didn’t want her to have chips and a big dollop of red cabbage coleslaw. obviously a three year old didn’t want coleslaw so I had to remove it from her plate no napkins were provided the sandwich itself was made with grated cheese but only had one piece of bread buttered so the cheese of course just fell out. My own sandwich tuna mayo on the menu as being in sour dough bread and with a pea-shoot side salad, again just came on big standard white bread, just tuna mayo inside no salad or anything to jazz it up a bit again with chips and a big dollop of unwanted coleslaw. Add the Diet Coke and fruit shoot and it was almost £20 for two economy standard sandwiches and two drinks.when the waitress asked if all was ok, I mentioned this all to her which she reported back to the kitchen, but they didn’t come and speak to me or make any apology. The waiting staff were nice, hence the 2*’s but I can’t recommend it here. Kid-friendliness: The food, I ordered from the kids menu, was in no way kid friendly.
Incredibly lovely staff, delicious food and such a beautiful little spot to catch a break and grab some food. I tried their new camembert and it was so yummy. Thank you!
Superb freshly made food. Perfect size potions for my daughter off the kids menu. Dog friendly too. Definitely going again.
