Story

OPENING APRIL 2014

Black Flat Coffee brewers is dedicated in bringing the finest quality coffee to the locals of Glen Waverley, formerly known as the suburb of Black Flat in the 1800's. Located at the end of the station ramp with a handy service window and a scrumptious selection of take-away breakfast options - its your perfect start to the day.

We open early at 6am to serve those on the very first train, bus and other early risers!

We are passionate about our coffee and thats why we source our beans from the most amazing roasters at Axil providing deliciously smooth and consistent blends day in day out.

We have a great selection of breakfast items that you can sit-down and munch in the morning sun or take-away with you to your next destination!

Loveee this place. Me & my husband came in the morning around 10:30 am and the pastries were all almost gone, they’re that popular. We’re hungry so we got bagel with smoked salmon, cream cheese, & capers as well, its so delicious! Creamy & fresh. Great coffee too, amazing experience overall. Would love to come back here again cause we both love this place
Best coffee, best bagels, best service. I work locally to Black Flat, and my colleagues and I always find ourselves at here - even if it’s a farther walk than the other cafes from our building. The coffees are always so good, and the staff are so kind. I had a Smoked Salmon bagel with capers and dill schmear for the first time today pictured, and it was heavenly! Took a while for them to prepare but so worth it. Location is very small but there is limited seating inside, and tables outside. There is also always a line outside during work hours. The coffee must be good!
Had a takeaway coffee and a baby chino. Staff were pretty friendly and polite. Babychino was big for a baby chino and came with a straw and a marshmallow. Coffee was pretty good too although slightly too hot for my liking. Cute hole in the wall place. Great addition to Glen waverley. Would go back. Highly recommended for your coffee fix.
Instagram: @ediblemelbourne Conveniently located right next to Glen Waverley station, these guys must surely be serving the BEST COFFEE in Glen Waverley. Your local hole-in-the-wall kind of cafe! Think Axil Coffee done right. It's a winner with the locals and it shows. They are small, intimate, rustic and great. Very friendly and young; smiley faces every time when here. The white coffee is very good - love that they don't make piping hot milk but it's just right, ready to drink. A little more attention to black coffee and these guys will definitely have my 5 stars. They do serve some bagels and small bites as well but I'm yet to try them. Will update though once I do. Nothing good coffee can't fix on your way to work :
Oat milk ice latte cost 7.5 in a very small cup, thought it might be more concentrated but its not. I'm usually not a fast drinker, but this was gone in 5 minutes. Not worth your money at all. Don't understand how they can be so overpriced, even CBD ones are way better and cheaper. Rip off.
Disappointing first customer experience. Ordered a ‘Biggie’ long black and got a “small” long black in a big cup.
The ONLY place to get coffee in Glen Waverley proper. The small is served as a double ristretto in an 8oz cup. Just the way it should be.Food: 3/5

Well made cafe latte, mixed seeds salmon bagel was very tasty. Bagel had a firm but not overly hard texture. The staff were very friendly. Top job guys!
Best coffee around this side of Glen Waverley, hands down. Service was 5/5 and the bagels were toasted to perfection. Forget fancy cafes, come here for a quiet little coffee and bite.
