I'm a first time visitor to Mosman Hotel. Very impressed with the service. Genial, honest, helpful and welcoming. I left an item there last night and upon return a day later it was tucked safely behind the bar. A rarity in the bustling bars of Sydney town. Speaking of bustling, I've added some photos to show the interior. In particular the comfortable booths with their studded Chesterfield leather retro finish.... If looks like there's no one here , that's only because I shot between the array of bodies enjoying fhe pub-simple but diverse lunch menu. The air conditioning is cool... and yes folks that's carpet on the floor not the usual unkempt stcky type, ha . You can actually have a good conversation in here without the usual echoing voices reverbedating off too many hard surfaces. The place is an alcove of charming delight tucked quietly off one of fhe busiest roads in Sydney. Come and enjoy. Ive driven past many times without checking ir out and am now wishing I hadn't... don't be a duffa like me, come in and enjoy the extra cold drinks, nourishing menu, service like i haven't experienced in a while and a dash of old world charm. Doc x
Huge servings and great service too. My partner enjoyed his porterhouse steak. Thank you!!
It's a good place for parties and gatherings. Didn't enjoy it so I left as soon as I walked in. Couldn't feel a good vibe to stay.
Ruby the rescue dog and I met some friends at the HM on Sunday night. We were on the terrace and the weather changed very quickly but the staff were on the job and very attentive to ensure we did not get wet. Then they moved us to a table were Ruby could be more comfortable. The food was great too. My only comment about room for improvement that applies to a lot of eating places is that there is more than 1 vegetarian option. Will go again.
This Kiwi family of four really enjoyed our pre-Christmas lunch after a wander around the suburb. The food was the best that we have eaten around Sydney's cafés and brasseries, and very reasonably priced. The service was also very good from the friendly bar staff, and from the young lady from France who attended our table. I also liked the understated decor, and the quiet and friendly patrons. We'll be back!
It is a wonderful place to catch up with friends. Good menu at excellent prices or with 1 other or on your own. Nice range of drinks. Lovely setting looking out to Boronia House. And most importantly, the staff are always so accommodating. Very good service all around.
Booking on line was really easy and you can park in the Bridgepoint car park for 1, 2 or 3 hours. Bar staff are really friendly and efficient. Menu is extensive and varied. Meals are on the large size, so great value for money. Stand out meals were the lamb shanks, stuffed field mushrooms, porterhouse steak and chicken parmigiana. We sat upstairs which was quieter. Plenty of room and a lift takes you from the ground floor, so easily accessible for elderly folk and their walking sticks and walkers. Have always enjoyed our lunches here.
I had a terrible experience at this establishment and would not recommend it to anyone. The establishment has two sections - one upstairs that is supposed to be a swanky restaurant, and one downstairs that is a complete dump of a pub. Despite this, the only place still allowed for children is the downstairs section with beer spills and stains all over the place. It seems like this establishment would rather have children hang out in the dirty downstairs section with its rowdy crowd, rather than upstairs with their upscale clientele. But hey, at least the upstairs section is dog-friendly... How inclusive, amirite?! But apparently, children aren't clean or behaved enough to have around their swanky customers on an early Sunday afternoon. I can't understand why they allow children in the dirty and unpleasant downstairs section, but not the upstairs section, where it's actually more like a normal restaurant. This blatant stereotyping and disregard for the well-being of families is unacceptable. To make matters worse, when I brought up the ridiculousness of this policy to the bartender, he gave me the stink-eye as if he wanted to grab me by the neck and throw me out on the spot, in front of my young daughter. Sure I asked in a way that was like 'how does this make any sense', but I was in no way rude, condescending nor did I use any profanity. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this joke of a pub.
Great food and drinks. But noisy inside but outside is great. To many pokies.
Excellent service, exquisite meals with top notch presentation and great atmosphere. Management and hospitality staff were incredible and made my partner and I feel that way you get when you're alone with the whole team giving you their undivided attention. Thank you so much for a beautiful night guys
