Great meal overlooking the water. Service was nice and prompt. Food was delicious. Definitely get the coconut prawns. They are super tasty.
Don't understand how this place can stay open. Rude staff and seems like they hate working or they just hate life, who knows! Service is 0/10, food is average and overpriced. Even getting a take away coffee, service is very very poor. Seriously, go somewhere else people! Don't bother with this place. There are other cafes on the beaches with a better view, friendly staff and good food. They are right to call it plonk, they plonk at service! I honestly cannot stress how disappointing this place is. But if you love disappointment, then this place is for you. 0
We were extremely disappointed and very unhappy about the problematic food and rude service today. Order a braised duck leg with snow peas for my daughter, and it was shocking to see at least worms clawing out from the peas, alive!!!! It was the dish for my daughter, and the little girl was shocked! We had to speak to the manager, and she seemed quite familiar with that and don't remember she had apologized truly at least we did not feel so, and of course she had asked the kitchen to redo the dish, but obviously she did not have the habit the reflect the problem until we asked to replace the snow peas with chips... Also I am wondering if giving tips a voluntary move for customer in Australia? Because we were charged extra tips for their service where is it??? automatically when we got the bill~~ Also we were told to leave in a not very nice way in our eyes as they started to "set up" for dinner where there was nothing to set up at around 5pm and the restaurant was quite empty and not busy. It is such a shame for this restaurant existing in such a good spot... I don't want to give a star here but had to in order to post this review.
We called to book a table and someone told us : NO need to book as there are plenty of space. When we arrived restaurant was empty but best tables was reserved already . Impossible to negotiate as we are eating fast. When we left, these tables was still booked but still not occupied. well done !!!! May be these tables are booked the whole day and for very special people and we are not VIP , who knows? ‍ however nice view. Service is unfriendly at the first sight and until the end . Food is good served quickly but not excellent i doubt that the crab is fresh or freshly served from the cane présentation in the plate :just ok . Prices are not cheap , for me it is not a good value .
We had lovely lunch there on Thu 26 Jan 23. The food was plentiful and very delicious. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the service. The head waiter, immediately assumed we were tourists and started talking unsolicitedly about the aborigines and their rights and telling us stuff we know for years given we have been living in Sydney for 20+ years. He even implied Aborigenes are not 'Normal' people by saying they receive more govenmenrt support than 'Normal' people. Regreatable relly. Then we saw him being rude to another waiter! He did not stop interrupting our conversation every 5 minutes. Then he asked us at least 3 times if we had finished our meals but we were still eating : we were at least 30-40min to the end of our booking. It was stressful and quite unpleasant.
Just arrived with my boat to have a nice lunch with my girlfriend, a blond waitress came with the worst education ever and tried to kick us from the place for not been wearing shoes, in stead off saying the things and rules in a good manner, so rude… Apart from that the rest of the staff was nice, but not coming back again.
Great place, great views. Prices are a bit higher due to the demographic. The only thing I could recommend is they invest in software that allows a group to effectively split their bill by the individual paying their share to the host of the group. Parking: Main parking lot is about 300m from the restaurant.
Very rude manager. It’s a place next to the beach and they asked us to wear shoes hahah outside. Such a shame, it’s a good place but overpriced and the staff is rude. Won’t come back for sure
Service mediocre. Great food.Food: 4/5
Lovely spot, great food and coffee, only had breakfast so far, but intend to go back and try the rest. Opens out onto small children friendly beach. Well worth a visit.
