The experience as a tenant of Hot Property was traumatic to say the least. I've never had to deal with anyone as unprofessional and unreasonable in both my professional and personal life. Liz in particular goes out of her way to ensure every interaction is as painful as possible. I could mention all of the specifics throughout our tenancy but I'd be here for hours, just go read some of the other 1 star reviews. I can confidently say that my experience with Hot Property gave me the push to buy in Brisbane to never have to go through a similar situation again. As a home owner now, there is no way I would ever recommend renting your house through this company.
Ethical judgement and decision-making should form an integral part of any client facing business, but seems to have been overlooked or ignored in spectacular fashion by Liz Wilcox and the Hot Property Team. Similar to Dante, engaging with them felt similar to a journey through hell, in both metaphor and fact, given the extremely slow and inept approach to fixing the air-conditioning and maintaining the property through a Queensland summer. Their attitude and demeanour never failed to be sharp, aggressive, lacking basic decency or respect, when they took the time to communicate at all. It is fortunate that their negative and aggressive behaviour was outstripped only by their ineptitude, leading them to often fall short of winning the arguments they would start. I would not recommend this business to my worst enemy. This team will, in no uncertain terms, make your life immeasurably more complicated and take no accountability, at any stage, for their behaviour as can be seen by the replies to other negative reviews on Google.
Where is the zero star rating? I don’t even know where to start, Liz is a horrible, horrible person! Unprofessional, damaging, a liar, rude, obnoxious etc. I read a review that said she should work in a lighthouse with no human contact and that was probably the nicest way to describe her. I would stay away at all costs. If you rent, she will make your life hell through every contact and even more so at the end she is looking for money, and will happily influence areas to try get that money, if you are an investor - she will hide damages that were at no fault to those residing in the property ie, weather damage causing internal issues and pretend she knew nothing about it because she seeks to just sit behind her computer screen as a keyboard warrior, seeking out her next victim abusing with derogatory emails.
My room mate and I, asked for a reschedule of routine inspection for atleast a week later as we both had covid. still came, inspected and got a breach for cleanliness. If you are unlucky enough to be dealing with this company be home on inspections as they will open your cupboards and move your belongings. absolute bottom of the barrel human beings, stay far far away from these cockroaches Madeleine, learn that we are the reason you are in a job and try to have a less of a condescending insufferable attitude
As property owners 3 we have been with Hot Property Management since they started and have had nothing but great service. The team look after you well and also make sure all items needing attention are rectified asap. Have recommended them to others many times and still do
Terrible company, hopeless with everything. Avoid at all costs!! If you are a business owner, do not let them manage your property!. I never seeing a very bad, rude and arrogant bunch of people in the same place, they’re so bad I actually bought my own place after because the experience was so bad I didn’t want to deal with rental anymore. I wish there is a Zero rating. Handyman is the husband of the manger and he is scammer, no receipt to anything, and Liz honestly the worst individual, worst customer service, rude , and no human skills, should work in light house with no human contact .
I have previously rented 22 different houses and these are THE worst property managers I have ever dealt with. I am a disabled registered nurse with a perfect rental history and they tried very hard to make me homeless for the four weeks my new property was having modifications made. They have no compassion or empathy for anyone and they are completely uncompromising. They have also threatened to publicly share our emails and house inspections. I have never been treated as a second class citizen more in life.
Hot Property Management HPM and property owners tried to take $544.55 from our bond. Liz and HPM team have poor knowledge of tenancy legislation. We reported them to QCAT. HPM refused to attend the hearing and left the property owners to fend for themselves. They failed to provide receipts for the cleaning/maintenance in their bond claim. The tribunal ordered the entire bond claim be returned to us. Owners and renters, steer clear of this rental agency.
Ombudsman ombudsman Ombudsman is comin. Rental bullies!!! Hot property? Wow..... just like herpes you guys have no idea what you guys have got yourselves in to. Buy or rent, this agency is craaaaaaaap. Buyers have a look at Hot Property Management and have a look at the real Hot Property https://g.co/kgs/vVQivM2 Liz, you are Devils Advocate for sure. Let me guess what your reply will be We dont have record of you using our service Or we cant find you in our system
