I'm always on the hunt for a reliable, exciting, well priced Indian restaurant in inner city Melbourne. Horn Please has been around for a long time, and it's pitched at an upmarket audience. The dining room is big, but also frequently empty, and the food generally good (but not memorable) and well presented but over priced in my opinion. If you're looking for great food with a traditional down to earth approach to Indian dining, this is not it. Bookings on weekends require you to take the banquet option, even for a table of four which I think speaks to the approach. The search continues...

Easily the best Indian food I've had in Melbourne - possibly ever! The food is so fresh and spices are just perfect. The staff are also very friendly & attentive whenever we dine in and no troubles when we've ordered via Ubereats. It's always just as delicious. The nan bread is the best around!

Best Indian restaurant hands down. Fresh, vibrant curries that do that just taste like every other local curry joint. The staff are always attentive and happy. They have craft beers if that's your thing. I recommend getting the chef's selection for $50. You will get so much delicious food that you will probably be painfully full by the time you leave. Pace yourself. Don't eat beforehand either.

Went there on a Sunday and they were serving an open buffet. I was hungry so tried most of the offerings and loved them all. The place is clean and cosy - you could have a quiet conversation even when the place is full. A good bargain too.

The tasting menu here is just superlative. All the food is beautifully spiced, fragrant and delicious. Well presented and serve size is on point. You can obviously order more, but don't be deceived, that's a lot of food! 

Service was slick, friendly and unobtrusive. This is a wonderful restaurant and ranks alongside my favourite curry house in London (Café Spice Namaste) for flavour and panache.
