Look, the wash it did was okay.  Didn't get the bugs off completely, but then I probably should have let the pre wash soak in, but what I can't fathom is why have a $2 option on the screen when the minimum EFT is $5?  We didn't quite finish rinsing when the time ran out, so we selected and paid $2, plus the 20c fee, only to be told we need to pay another $3, plus 20c fee, to actually get the machine going.  It's only loose change, but kind of sums up the whole appearance of the place...

Last Saturday I tried the hand wash on my car and got completely ripped off. Firstly, I didn't know Hoppys minimum payment is $4 and not $1-$2 like other car washes and secondly and more importantly the gun and the brush would only surge with chemicals approximately every 30 seconds for only 10 seconds meaning it took twice as long including the spot free rinse leaving lots of spots even after going over the car 3 times it still missed.  If that's standard for Hoppys calibration then never again for me.

I've  only ever used the self-serve car wash faculties and my overall experiences with the Manly West location has been generally good.nReasonably priced for what it can offer. The self-serve car wash bays appear to be 24hr access.nLast time I went, 11.30pm at night,  the car wash bays presented in a neat and clean fashion. Lighting isnplentiful and gives you enough exposure to see all the good & bad things  Water pressure from the car wash bays was pretty effective &  got the job done. Payment to use the different wash options can be paid by gold coins or more conveniently, EFTPOS card.

You’re hoping to put the coin or swap cards and there’s any soap in the system to wash your car, but no, it happens and no one is there to care. It wasn’t a big issue till I took my 2 dogs to the dog wash bay and BAM!! After paying by card and wetting my dogs, no products and shampoo available. Had to take the wet and extra smelly in the car and take them home like that. Emailed and messaged them and no response. Terrible service.

Hi, I am not normally a complainer but after the wash just had today , I feel the need to seek some improvement. We just took our car to the Manly Hoppy's as we have done a few times. Something has certainly gone wrong since our last wash here. Firstly, we noticed the car beforehand had the Ultimate Wash and a broken hose spray continued to spray water on the car even after it was dried. We mentioned to the on-site staff who acted as if it was not known even through he had walked through it to put shine on the tyres. Seemed odd to wash and dry a car to have it sprayed before you left. 2nd - we got home to our address 2 kms away and the sides of the car had a black grime all over it. My wife wiped it with a clean car polishing rag photo attached. Rag was very dirty with a black soot like material but did wipe off easily.  3rd - we also drove out to water being sprayed over our supposed clean and dry car. Just a thought but the cleaning bay had plenty of dirt, leaves and rubbish inside either side of where the car is washed. Maybe some of the dirt and rubbish is blown up onto the car by the blowers. 4th - just a small thing but the staff member watched us pay to vacuum our car and then move forward to have it washed, and still did not mention that vacuuming is supposedly free for wash customers. Another customer mentioned to us after we left. 5th - as per the photo attached, the tyre shine had no effect at all leaving the tyres dull looking. 6th - minor but both sides of the front car doors had polish ? like streaks running down starting from the windscreen. It seemed that the blowers had dried the polish in streaks.nI have now rewashed the car, 2 hours after your wash.nPlease consider some rectification action. I am requesting a refund as we have no confidence that we would get a better result on a return service.nnWell 5 months has passed since my review and not even an acknowledgement. Say no more. Cheers
