We have previously had amazing service from Hillside automotive and were expecting similar service since the business was taken over.

An issue with our car was brought forward to the company to seek a solution.  It was suggested that an ignition coil be purchased from the manufacturer as it was going to be cheaper than ordering and installing themselves.  They even suggested two parties to order through.

We did this, costing just short of one grand and the problem still persisted.  We took it back to the manufacturer to check the problem.  They completed a quick diagnosis and the issue was solved with a software update.  There was no mechanical issue.

We called to discuss this with Hillside automotive and they refused to acknowledge that they had made a mistake in their recommendation.  The conversational approach directed from the operator was what I would describe as aggressive.  An attempt to shift blame on the manufacturer was made which was strange considering they were not only recommended by Hillside automotive but they also fixed the problem. 

All in all, we are paying a substantial amount for unnecessary mechanical work completed on our vehicle due to a mistake made by the Hillside automotive team.  Perhaps it's time for the new owners to reconsider their website which states that they offer "honest service and advice ... guaranteed."

These guys were awesome. Got the job done as quickly as possible, upfront with the costs, great people skills and their courtesy cars were better than mine!

When I discovered one of my window wipers weren't working (had to have windscreen replaced to pass WOF), they were straight up about the best way to deal with it, which was to go back to the windscreen company instead of charging me more to do it themselves.

When you don't know cars, it's hard to know if you've found an honest WOF/mechanic centre. These guys are 110% trustworthy.

Best experience I've ever had with an auto shop. See ya in 6 months for my next WOF fullas!

Paul and the team have assisted me multiple times with my vehicles and have always been very polite, efficient and price competitive. I would highly recommend this business and will continue to come back.
