All time favourite, taste just like home. Don’t let its subtle exterior and interior fool you, the food is amazing!!!! From breakfast options like congee to lunch and dinner, everything is authentic and impeccable. I go there regularly just because its the best option for Cantonese food nearby!! Worth the price, worth the wait!!! Big fan since day 1!!!!
The food was great but don’t expect Fancy service it’s been the same for so many years. With all the new stores in boxhill it’s starting to show its age and needing a good clean up. The duck was very tasty as was the beef Brisket alway had a very consistent meal Here.
My friends brought me here to try their specialty of ginger scallion crab with egg noodles. Cost by weight of the crab, so do enquire about the charges when ordering. Hot tea were brought out upon seated and staff were friendly and efficient. Besides that, we also ordered deep fried intestine, steamed barramundi, half a roast duck, black bean beef rice, and beef brisket noodles soup. After placing our order, the staff brought out soup for us to drink. The dried vegetable soup was lovely savoury sweet. Warmed the tummy. The crab noodles were just ok. The crab was of a good size but I wouldn't come back for this again. But I'll come back for their beef brisket noodles soup and roasted duck. The beef brisket was well cooked, tender and flavourful. The broth was lovely for the cold winter nights. I love to eat the springy noodles dry. Toss it with the chilli oil and some sauce from the roast duck. Yummy! Fried intestine was well executed and good as a snack. Steamed barramundi was lovely. The black bean beef rice was of strong flavours and the beef portion was generous and tender.
I would honestly live here if I could. Have been coming here since I was a kid and it is the most consistent Chinese restaurant I've been to anywhere in the world. My absolute favourite are the beef crispy noodles and minced beef and egg on rice. If you're after good service, go somewhere else... But you'll be the one missing out.
Authentic, no frills Chinese food. The people I came with have been coming here for 15 years and claim that nothing has changed. Even the staff doesn’t seem to age. The food was legit, very traditional. I didn’t choose any of the dishes we ordered, but everything was tasty. The service was straightforward, don’t expect anything more. If you’re looking for the real deal but are ok with cheap decor and basic customer service, this is a solid choice.
Best sizzling in Melbourne it’s hot it has great presentation with the sizzling plate!!!! Highly recommended Cantonese style noodles with Braised Beef Brisket, tender and juicy, noodles were high protein Cantonese style eggs noodles! Tomato beef with rice was incredible as well!! And congee! Best of the best in Melbourne. Very decent price! Each rich with meat only takes 13 dollars. Not to mention their takeaway steamed buncustard bun/ BBQ pork bun, it’s nothing like the other cheap no authentic bun else where, it’s genuine authentic and fresh! Definitely beyond expectations.
Special Ordered the drunken chicken hot pot for our family gathering, perfect for these winter nights. Always come back for old fashion Cantonese food. Super happy customer.

I'd had a memorable dining experience at Hills BBQ Noodle Shop back in 2019, and I was looking forward to this return visit; am glad to say it remains as good as before. . The Fried Pig's Intestines AUD $23.80 feature strips of pig's intestines that are spice marinated then deep-fried, resulting in a slightly crisp exterior, with a tender and moist interior. This traditional snack has a deep savoury salty spice flavour, and a lovely fatty chew. . The Roast Duck AUD $23.80 Half remains excellent. Still has a tender, juicy, succulent chew to texture, just like before. Each bite still carries a lovely meaty savoury salty smoky flavour, and the duck fats lend a touch of decadence. So yummy, this remains a must-order for me. . The Steamed Barramundi Fish In Hong Kong Superior Soy Sauce AUD $55 is as good as ever, thanks to the use of fresh barramundi fish and quality superior soy sauce. The tender flaky barramundi fish has gentle sweet savoury flavour with few bones that are easily removed. . The aromatics of light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, ginger, shallots, spring onions, Shaoxing rice wine, white sugar, and sesame oil, all infuse the fish with herbal earthy salty savoury flavour. Loved every bite of this. . The Stir-Fried Beef With Onions & Bell Peppers AUD $15 here is really good. Served over a bed of fluffy white rice with grainy sweet flavour, the dish features tender strips of beef flank, chewy with meaty savoury salty flavour, alongside crisp red onions with vegetal sweet flavour, and crunchy juicy bell peppers / capsicum with vegetal bitter sweet flavour. . All tossed in a thick gravy of black beans, black pepper, cornstarch, and garlic, carrying earthy salty peppery spice flavour. Large in portion size, wallet-friendly, and tasty, it's a great meal for hungry students on a budget.

We ordered steam fish barramundi but the staff didn’t show us how heavy was the fish. The fish was served after 45mins and the first serve is uncooked. I asked why are the fish is frozen and uncooked. The lady told us she just caught from the fish tank but we didn’t see it. What a shame! We asked for alive fish but gave us the frozen fish.
