They get one star for not giving me food poisoning. This is worst food I’ve had in a long time. I ordered a Thai beef salad and it was the saddest salad I’d ever seen and tasted. The beef was over cooked and the dressing was at a poor standard. My friend ordered the highlands monster burger. The burger bun was dry, and there was only lettuce and tomato and beef. It was so dry my friend choked as he ate, and monster it was not. He claimed it was not something a chef had produced. McDonald’s would have been a much better option. The venue looks amazing and it’s a shame they are cutting costs on their sub standard meals. The chips were good as was the tomato sauce. We both left swearing never to come back...

This place was amazing. I enjoyed the quiet ambience along with the nice selection of food. The staff were great. After that we went across to play with the one arm bandits. I would recommend this place for young and old.

I went there on Easter Sunday. Find a hair in my meal about 10 cm long ask the Manager , she called the Chef and answer it is a pickle hair which wasn't and nobody came to us afterwards. we left the place. So be careful when you dine next time Thinking to take it further.

We tried the dinner buffet and it was pretty delicious. There is a decent amount of a variety of meat, salads and sea food. Deserts were great too. Price is reasonable. However, there can be long queues on special days like New Year’s Eve. So turn up early.

We enjoy going to Highlands hotel, on a regular basis, but today we were disappointed with the food. The Calamari was not soft as usual. The beef and pork roasts were extremely dry. The chips were also not fresh. We were wondering if it was left overs from The Easter weekend. We even took our daughter along. Not a very exciting lunch today. Marle Coetzee.
