Story

Located at the Peninsula Hotel Port Douglas and directly overlooking the azure Coral Sea and white sandy shores of Four Mile Beach, Hi Tide By The Beach captures the gentle ocean breeze and offers an array of dining options.

Join us 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch, dinner or pickings and coffee or cocktails in between.

Our delicious coffee is made from the gorgeous beans from the creators of Blackbird Cairns and is available to enjoy onsite to relax with the beautiful view or take away on a stroll.

Delicious food and fantastic service, with very nice cocktails as well. We shared the tuna starter (pictured), then I had the gnocchi and my partner had the fish of the day - all extremely well prepared and nicely presented. We also had a nice chat with the servers and bartender while we were here, they were very nice and happy to give suggestions and help us navigate the hotel and local area. We ate after dark, so there wasn't much of a view, but in the daytime you'd be looking directly out at the beach and enjoying the breeze.

Prawns like these 😍 @hitidebythebeach big and full of meat with a tasty twist of sesame. If you sit outside, be prepared to take cover when the summer storm comes.

A terrific little Cafe / Restaurant. Reasonable prices, excellent food, exceptional service. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience !

Truely a 5 star breakfast. My eggs Benedict had a generous top of smoked salmon and my partner's omelet was yum. Can't top the location either.
