The food was excellent. We had hot chicken wings, pork tacos and chicken tacos. All of them were really good. The pork tacos was my favourite. The other things we tried were Chips & Guacamole, and enchilada. The waiters were very polite and constantly checking if we are ok or we need anything. PS. This place is very popular and has limited seating. So would suggest reserving table ahead of time. We were lucky to get one within 10min of wait.
If you only eat at one place while in Port Douglas, make it this one. It’s the best Mexican I have ever had- and I’ve eaten a lot of Mexican. The nachos were particularly good, all the flavours were exactly perfectly balanced! The staff were also extraordinarily wonderful- they were warm, efficient and the exact right level of engaged. Wish we had another night so we could eat here again.
We got guac and corn chips to share. They were DELICIOUS. The corn chips were warm and beautifully seasoned, while also being crispy on the outside, and softer on the inside. I have never had corn chips like this but oh my gosh they were AMAZING! My fish tacos were heaven. The fish was soft and tender and melted in my mouth. The spicy green chili aoili/mayo was also beautiful. Was the best taco I have ever had. The haloumi tacos were also delicious. Not too salty, paired with a delicious mango sauce. It was perfect. We got the dessert where you tried all 3. The servings were very generous. The churros melted in our mouths and were absolutely delicious with the dulche de leche. The mouse with cake was also delicious and soft, and quite rich. The cheesecake however didn't have too much flavour to it. We could tell it had been frozen as the centre was a nit icey still. The margaritas were INSANE. Not too strong, while there being enough alcohol to be worth the money. It was the best margarita I have ever had! All the staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating. The restaurant is absolutely amazing. Would 100% go back here in a heartbeat. Be sure to book as we heard them having to tell people they were fully booked for the night - which is not surprising.
Very good food, great drinks. Excellent vibes! We loved it and will definitely be back! Staff were lovely and very attentive without being overbearing. Everyone in our party was happy with their food even those who modified their meals.
We didn't have a booking but chanced getting a table when we arrived. We were lucky as they had one table available for us. Food was delicious as well as the drinks. If ever you are in Port Douglas, make a booking and have a fantastic meal and a few refreshing beverages
This place is pumping! Casual dining, great Mexican flavours, everything here is good. Difficult to go past the beef nachos, but the chicken wings with blue cheese dip are pretty good too. And like it hot? Choose the jalapeno poppers if they're on special. Accompanied by the classic margarita. Lipsmacking!
This is the best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. The food was great and service stellar. We had a mix of food and shared. The wings are a tasty entre. Nachos were a hit. As were the fajitas.Try the sangria!
Great food, delicious mocktail and fast service. Their portion is very generous. If you are not a big eater, a good idea is to mix match one or two entree and one main with drinks for sharing. We had nachos, guacamole and popper. They were all great!
Ever popular eatery well positioned on Macrossan Street. A fine selection of beers, wines and cocktails accompany authentic Mexican dishes. Plate sizes are pretty small so bear this in mind when ordering but the food is tasty and nicely done. We had a couple of cocktails during our visit and the Coco for Cabo was delicious: 1880 Coconut Tequila at its heart. The Mojito was also on point. Seating is limited indoors but there are abundant seats out on the sidewalk, a great place to sit and watch the evening crowd go by. We were able to be seated without a reservation but it was really full, and appeared to be so on future evenings as we walked past, so I'd recommend booking ahead of time.
Excellent food- we had chicken fajitas, pork nachos and the trio desert. Have the desert!! You won’t regret it. Reasonable priced Mexican beer too. You can book online but not after 3pm for the same day.
