@heartbaker.bunmee CBD Lux Grilled Pork Banh Mi Heartbaker Bun Mee is an authentic Vietnamese cafe serving up fresh traditional street food. Their full menu is based on family recipes, featuring their signature Banh Mi, rice paper rolls, noodle dishes and hearty salads. I went for the Lux Grilled Pork Banhi Mi and it’s sitting firmly in my Top 2 in Melbourne. The bun itself is perfection, a fresh, crispy, buttery, tiger roll that’s soft and fluffy on the inside. The pork was next level crispy and there was no fat at all. For lean lovers this was a giant tick from me. Everything was in proportion and worked well. I think it could have had a little extra flavour to make it a 5, but it’s very close to it. I almost went for another one straight after - I’ve been thinking about it all week. The banh mi are $12.50 each and worth every cent. 4.7/5 $
Great tasting Banh Mi Vietnamese Pork Rolls. The baguettes were perfectly served, soft on the inside and crusty on the outside. They aren’t your typical Banh Mi, but man they are good!
I ordered crispy pork and that was pretty tasty! This banh mi has less liver flavor than others but has more pork meat flavor instead. I think it depends on your preference but for me that’s what I wanted It also has good crunch. I want to back to try different kind of banh mi!
Crispy pork is good. Grilled pork and grilled chicken are just ok. Grilled chicken was more like roast chicken similar to those at coles / Woolies wasn’t used to it. Banh mi is pricey and not worth it but there aren’t many other decent options in the cbd
I wasn’t really impressed with the taste of the “Lux Grilled Pork” Bun Mee. The meat tasted flat and with so many other Bun Mee stores in Melbourne, I’ve had much better tasting Grilled Pork Bun Mee’s. The location of Heartbaker is cool, packed away in a little alleyway. The service was fast. The other elements of the Bun Mee were pretty decent, just the meat, didn’t really excel.
Crispy pork with Hoisin sauce. One of the best banh mi in the city. Tucked in a tiny lane , don’t miss this one. They recently up’d their prices and this now cost $11.8. Make it a combo with Vietnamese coffee
Heartbaker Bun Mee is hidden in a laneway on Flinders Lane. Not your traditional banh mi and that's okay. The baguette they use is always so crispy compared to most banh mi's i've had. It is on the pricer side being in the CBD however they are very generous with their fillings. I get the pork belly and it's always overflowing.
Love the crispy pork roll! Nice little shop located on Flinders lane close to lots of coffee shops.
7/10 banh mi at a 2/10 price. Chilli jam belongs in Jamie Oliver's fried rice, not my baguette ty. Dope spring rolls though.
A very very amazing bahnmi and spring rolls! The crackling pork is very crispy and juicy. Very authentic.
