Went for the Boozy Lunch, and was blown away by the service & the food.nnThe dishes were super tasty, and the cocktail options delicious!!nnWould suggest booking before 2pm, as that seems to be the busiest time. We came in earlier, so food came out really fast, and drinks were refilled promptly.
Came for the bottomless yum cha. It was just enough food, and quite tasty, and the drinks menu had a good range. Staff were lovely but didn’t spend time explaining the courses as they arrived. Drinks were a bit slow to arrive too, and there were these small flies that kept buzzing around the food which was a bit gross.
I've been to sister restaurant Chin Chin a few times, but this was my first visit to Hawkers Hall on Chapel Street. It was very lively for a late Saturday afternoon, with nice music and a good atmosphere. I do prefer the Thai fusion food at the Chin Chin. This take on Malaysian food is very tasty, but I was expecting to be wowed.
This place looks very cool inside. I was recommended to come here so thought I’d give it a shot. The food was great I shared 2 of the rice dishes which were delicious!nMy friend wanted a coffee which they don’t do, so he ordered a cocktail with coffee in it, minus the alcohol ‍
I dined at Hawker Hall for the first time for a business lunch meeting. I have to say we enjoyed it thoroughly. The venue is trendy, and I felt like I was transported to a little lane way in the CBD. The staff were fantastic, helpful, and attentive. We opted for the 'Feed The People'. The menus draws it inspiration from the vibrant hawker centres of Singapore and Malaysia.nFirst on the menu was salt and pepper squid with chilli the staff asked how much spice we wanted. Delicious.nSecond - pork buns, usually not a favourite or go to, but these were great! Third - Satay skewers, very nice and beautifully presented. Fourth - Prawn and beef stir-fry. I don't eat prawns, so I picked them out. The dish overall was very nice. I prefer the thicker noodles. Fifth - Shredded hoisin duck salad with crispy wontons. Sixth - I don't recall exactly which curry was served, but it was very good. It was accompanied by jasmine rice and chared broccollini. We had chocolate brownie for dessert, which we shared as we were so full.nFinal thoughts- The selection was flavourful, complex, aromatic, and filling. I look forward to eating here again. It has a great atmosphere. Parking can be tricky. There is a car park on the street behind the venue.
