Very friendly, helpful staff. My Mum was taken into hospital with covid and she was very scared. The Staff were lovely to her and put her mind at ease. The Doctor's and nurses kept me informed every step of the way re Mum's care. Keep up the good work
My daughter broke her foot at school and we were seen, x-rayed and seen by doc in 3 hrs. Might sound like a long time but with the shortage of staff these days I was happy with the time and service we got. Great job to all.
Admitted to the emergency department 4 times in 4 weeks with severe pain related to a kidney stone pre surgery. Staff were attentive and professional and cared about their patient with thorough testing and made sure I was going to be OK before being discharged.
They say only use ED in an emergency. My friend needs seeing but her doctor in stratford was too busy. Went to the Acute Clinic at The Practise and they also said they are too busy and sent us to A & E. I'm sorry not to leave ED free for emergencies but we are left with no other choices. The health system is in disarray.

Truly Amazing, no others come close to the level of service and professionalism offered at this place! - South Taranaki Rural Health also equips themselves with the same awesomeness. The only thing left to say, bloody fantastic!

We have been to the Hawera Hospital Emergency Department today with our sick young child, we could understand the long wait of many hours being weekend, however, the service we received from the Nurses and Doctor were unaccceptable! We were astonished with the service, they were very rude and treated with disrespect and we thought for a minute that, are we even in New Zealand? We are from other city of New Zealand and new to Hawera, after today’s visit to Hawera DHB we regret our decision of moving here. We are writing this review hoping that someone will address this issue and bring change to the services in Hawera DHB.

I went for a wound check at the hospital on 10th January. The staff, nurses and the doctor were amazing! Their care is 2nd to none and I was so grateful for the thoroughness in which the checked the wound. Thanks you so much!!
