We had such a great stay at Hawera Holiday Park that we ended up staying longer than originally planned. Not only was it the cheapest campsite of our 5-month New Zealand trip so far, but also one of the most personal and welcoming places we’ve stayed at.nnThe manager was always incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely cared about making everyone feel comfortable. The showers and toilets were always clean and well maintained, and the kitchen was very well equipped and spotless too.nnOverall, we can highly recommend this holiday park. It was also the perfect base for our trips to Mount Taranaki!
Thanks for having us, hosts were great and let the kids stay for free. Kitchen has all that you need and it's right next to pools and King Edward Park.
Hi folks.nI didn't get to stay here as cabins were fully booked but I am reviewing as they helped me to find accommodation even ringing ahead for me to the place and letting them know I was coming, then giving me the time of day to tell me where it was etc and what to look for.nEven though it was just up the road I was fully looked after by them to find it.nSo many thanks to the young man at reception.nI have forgotten your name now.nIf your service is excellent for people not staying there it must be excellent for those who do.nn
I have to give the manager of this camp ground a 10 out of 10. The place was immaculate. The facilities were the best i have been in for quite a while. The manager Todd was so friendly and welcoming. This is a must stay at location. We will be back.
Really pleasantly surprised with this place! We stopped here only because of the fact we were getting our car serviced in a garage in town and thought to stop.nnA huge seller is the price! I cannot believe a non powered site for 2 people is $24! Cheaper than DOC camps. With that you get a small campsite so everyone is close to facilities. The shower & toilets are spotless, but there aren’t many cubicles. The kitchen is fully stocked.nnI will say, the only negative is that there isn’t really a lot of indoor seating to sit and eat your food. They have one dining table with 6 chairs around it, and a couple of sofas but the table is so low you can’t eat your dinner there really. We happened to arrive on a rainy day a couldn’t even sit outside. They also have laundry facilities which I did not use.nnWould recommend though, absolute incredible value for money!
