I went to buy a robot vacuum cleaner and waited 15 minutes before having to go look for someone to help. To then be greeted with ‘be prepared to spend a lot of money. So if you don’t have money i wouldn’t recommend buying it’. We got treated rudely, and quite frankly if i am in there to spend money it’s got nothing to do with the sale person. Worst customer service i have experienced.

I am very disappointed with Harvey Norman Browns Plains. We have bought a lot from this store but now I will think twice. 2 weeks ago we reported an issue with our new lounge that we bought but still have not heard from them and the issue we reported was an electrical fault with the control panel on one of our recliners. We had to unplug our lounge because the panel was getting very hot and could cause a fire. We really don’t want our house to go up in flames but want to enjoy the lounge for the purpose in which we purchased it. I understand you get busy but a simple reply to let us know you haven’t forgotten about us would be nice. This is not the only issue with the lounge. When we first bought it, it came with cup holders that light up and you could tap them to turn on or off. There was a recall on the cup holders which got replaced with cup holders that have a light but can’t be tapped. It should have been placed with a better option not a quick crappy fix. We pay good money for our purchases and expect to receive the same quality back if something goes wrong with it.nI have tried to call  the store about this but you don’t answer your phones. I know this for a fact because when we were in there we had to wait about 20 minutes to be served - no greeting or anything from any staff member to acknowledge us and the phone just kept ringing and nobody picked up. This is terrible customer service.

Refused to honour their price match Guarantee.  Because price was lower than their purchase price. Despite telling them JBHIFI and office works willing to match.nnWas told over the phone they would match instore if I could provide screenshots.nnI've spent thousands of dollars at this store but I will never spend a cent in Harvey Norman again.. I recommend shoppers buy products elsewhere.

Very disappointed with the service at Harvey Norman Browns Plain. Recently purchased an outdoor setting that had wonky chairs. Spoke to the team and resolved the situation - later I called to check the delivery time to discover that what we agreed on had not been documented, followed by Paul the manager insinuating that I was lying about my conversation with his team member. We also have a fridge on order from the electrical department who were lovely to deal with which we will now be canceling. To anyone wanting to purchase furniture- I’d recommend going online it’s cheaper and they are actually more responsive and helpful with issues..

Had it not been for Darren C from Furniture Dept we would never ever shop at H/Norman again. Special thanks and appreciation Darren for making the effort to not only drop in at our home with a replacement of a faulty set of pin and clip to assemble the recliner we purchased but you kindly offered to complete assembling it. You empathised how we struggled for two hours to unsuccessfully assemble it due to the manufacturer’s error. 5 stars for Darren C!
