GoWake Cable Park Mackay is Australia's newest wakepark, opening in late 2013. The Mackay region is home to some of Australia's most pristine beaches and only a stones throw away from ancient reefs teeming with tropical marine life. The city of Mackay is approximately 90 minutes south of tourist hot spot Airlie Beach with readily available transfers to the Mackay region. GoWake Mackay is the perfect for beginners wanting to kneeboard or wakeboard and hosts 2 kickers, 2 fun boxes and 3 rails which will keep even the most talented riders busy experimenting with multiple lines and options. This park offers cable ski / wakeboarding and also a brand new Aqua Fun Park. Staff are very friendly and there are dedicated Wakeboard coaches to help you get up and riding and learning beginner and advanced tricks. Look on the website for different session times as there are beginner clinics as well as junior clinics. Well maintained equipment and professional staff.

A very welcoming place for everyone who would like to learn how to water boarding!😊😉They provide lessons for beginners no matter of the ages☺. A very friendly and hospital Staff serving lovely burgers, chips, soft drinks and beaut coffee. GoWake is also welcoming with open arms people with disabilities☺I've been there many, many times with one of my disable clients. He's learnt all the secrets how to water board and now he's a Champ and he's always very well looked after by the Staff. P.S. Update Re GoWake on Wed.10.01.201*🙂 Friend of mine met me there and informed ne about changes at GoWake. 'Old Managers left, new one's took over and...she's dissapointed in the services. Her son abd my ex- disable client it looks like aren't really welcomed there. Her son, a very lovely young man use to enjoyed water boarding but not anymore...😟 It's sad but true. All the 'old good days are gone. He doesn't want to go and skate there anymore. He feels pressure on him as disable person, and he's treated as somehow an 'intruder'? Other Managers were very good to him, assisted and helped him. He was obeying as much as it was for him due to his mild disability the Rules. Oh, it hurts me knowing about that. I was his carer since hecwas aboutb12 years old! Anyway, it's not good for people with disabilities to go now under New Management to enjoy c skate boarding at GoWake. Cheers. Old carer.😟😦🤤

Diamond in the rough, been to a few cable ski parks and they definitely out did themselves at this one as you don't expect one like this in Mackay. Great staff, wicked winch set up, good kickers and sliders and all the accessories needed for hire.
