What an awesome find in the middle of Mackay! For free, plenty of parking and lots of options for babies, toddlers, kids and teens. There’s a baby/ toddler splash area with lots of fun things to do- all shaded!! Then there are two bigger/ deep pools with a slide going into one of them. Patrolled by lifeguards, with hot showers and toilets at the entrance/ exit and a cafe:
Beautiful place to visit. Wonderful and trained lifeguards to keep you safe, great play area for the kids and slide. Staff is helpful and friendly. Great community and atmosphere. Beautiful environment and maintained gardens to enjoy the luxury free lifestyle in Mackay. Bluewater Lagoon is an absolute must-visit in Mackay! The facilities are fantastic, with three pools to suit all ages, including a kids' water playground and slides for extra fun. The lagoon is clean, well-maintained, and completely free, making it perfect for families or anyone looking to cool off on a hot day. There’s plenty of shaded seating and picnic areas, plus lifeguards on duty, so it feels super safe. Highly recommend for a relaxing and fun day out!
We visited Mackay by car from Brisbane and the first time we came this place for a sunshine day. beautiful pool, clean and the water is cristal blue. a place that should to go. my kids like this place. We certainly come back when vistit Mackay next time.
Lovely lagoon in great location. What a great asset to Mackay. Would have given 5 stars but whilst there are bench seats around the place there are no loungers. Also so shade over at least a part of the main lagoon would be nice as it's very exposed to the sun no matter where in the lagoon you go
