Goodlife Helensvale needs to take action against Westfield Helensvale for breach of contract due to the air conditioning regularly failing to work as the flow on affects fee paying members. Today the gym smelled like ass and I nearly passed out from the heat because the air conditioning wasn’t working. There are 2 old wall mounted fans straight out the 70’s that don’t rotate and they are the only fans covering 2/3 of the gym. If you aren’t in front of them you won’t have air circulation. I felt for the elderly members today who might have heart conditions I found it difficult to carry on they must have been struggling in the heat. All the blinds were shut to avoid heating the gym up even more. I feel Goodlife is obliged to take action against Helensvale Westfield in a bid to advocate for their members. I also find the culture around hygiene to be poor at this particular Goodlife gym. Apparently they are not all the same. Some Goodlife gyms offer appropriate cleaning stations that include easy to use antibacterial wet wipes. Reviews for this gym continuously mention the issues I raised. The only reason I haven’t canceled my membership is because it’s closest to my home and I find the staff and members friendly.

This is by far the worst gym I’ve ever been to.nThe gym does not turn on the air conditioning, and in this climate, that is completely unacceptable. The space is extremely hot, stuffy, and poorly ventilated, making it very uncomfortable to work out.nnA gym is a place for physical activity, and training in a hot, airless environment is not only unpleasant but potentially unsafe. I felt overheated and distracted the entire time and could not train properly.nnConsidering the fees, this level of basic facility management is disappointing.nI won’t be coming back and would not recommend this gym to anyone.

I would like to formally express my disappointment and frustration with the situation I experienced today.nnMy membership was already paid and active; however, when I arrived at the gym with my friends, I was blocked and unable to access the facilities. This caused me significant embarrassment, especially as my friends were delayed and almost missed their BodyAttack class due to my situation.nnWe immediately attempted to contact Roberta, who was responsible for selling us the promotion. Despite being online on WhatsApp at the time, we did not receive any response or assistance.nnWhen we approached the reception at the gym I attended, I was informed that they could not assist and that the issue could only be resolved with the club where the contract was signed, leaving me without any immediate support.nnIn an effort to resolve the issue on the spot, I made the payment again online. The amount was debited from my bank account; however, I am still without access to the gym.nnThis experience was extremely frustrating and unacceptable. I paid for a service that was not delivered and was placed in a very uncomfortable situation in front of others.nnI kindly request urgent assistance to either immediately activate my access and clarify the duplicate payment, or provide information regarding cancellation and refund options due to the service not being properly provided.nnI look forward to your prompt response.

Gyms not too bad, equipment is getting a little old and why on earth at 6:45am are we, adults, not permitted to use the relaxation room when we are paying for 24 hour service? Other GL locations have the relaxation rooms open from 5am, aka Springwood.

Friendly and helpful staff, good level of gym equipment, many classes free to members, sauna/steam room and showers also available. Excellent gym and great location above the Helensvale Westfield Centre.
