Story

Chevron After Hours Medical Service provides professional, bulk billing, after hours doctor sevices to residents of the Gold Coast. We have 2 walk in After Hours surgeries on the Gold Coast, (times and locations shown below).
We also provide a home visiting service for those unable to make it into the surgery due to illness. We also provide visits to aged care and nursing home facilities.

Palm Beach Surgery - 20-24 Palm Beach Avenue
Monday - Friday: 6.30AM-8AM // 6PM-10PM

The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful despite being constantly under the pump and very busy. Receptionist is answering phone calls from difficult people nonstop yet always remains calm and courteous. Would really help if healthy young people that aren’t in any distress for example, weren’t coming in to get an X-ray referral 10pm on a Saturday evening, but even despite such things waiting times can be ridiculously long. Ultimately, your service is much appreciated, thank you.
TERRIBLE! I rang for my partner to see how busy it was and was told it’s quiet only very short wait, my partner rocks up not even 20 minutes later and the lady says it’s not to long only 1.5hr to 2 hour wait pretty quick. Disgraceful really, should have just said it’s 1.5hr to 2 hour wait instead of saying to me over the phone that it’s quiet only short wait. Maybe just say how long the approx wait is in the future instead of misleading someone who isn’t well, she didn’t want to sit around everyone sick which is why I rang first.
I have been going to this clinic for over 6 years now and I see the same GP who is absolutely the most kind and helpful doctor. The staff are genuinely kind and helpful as well. Could not recommend this clinic enough to anyone needing to see a doctor.
On the website it clearly states that the medical centre is open until 6am daily and lists the times everyday. I call at 230am on a Tuesday morning to be told by a recorded message that the clinic reopens at 6am??? Huh?? Why would the clinic be closed when it states on its website that it’s open??? Please update your website with the correct information.
My wife was upset,waited nearlly 2 hours to see a doctor,finally sees a female doctor,about a boil that had went down , The doctor wasn't helpful at all didn't explain things to her and scared my poor wife more,didn't know what she was doing. We are in Ashmore doctors now and have to wait again because of that one doctor
Friendly staff and always under the pump! After hours doctor so understandably you have a wait. Very good , understanding, helpful and knowledgeable doctors.
So great to find an after hours place on holidays. The reception staff were friendly and caring as was the doctor I saw. Very grateful for this place. The wait was better than expected too for the evening in the area it’s in. The doctor on duty seemed to take a good amount of time with each patient, not rushing anyone through but also not taking an eternity.
Honestly would not recommend going here. Apart from lying to people, telling them to come back at another time to avoid the wait 5am, you then come back at said time, and they then say " oh no, we don't have a doctor here until 6am". Honestly what's the point? I come at these times to avoid a wait because I don't have a choice. I mean I really shouldn't give the place a second chance anyway, last time I came here I was told I'd be fine, take some antibiotics, where I then ended needed a quite an extensive surgery the very next day, because the doctor was obviously incapable of their job. So.... probably dodged a bullet by giving up and going somewhere else.
Amazing receptionist on tonight and fantastic doctor. The whole world is understaffed, be kind to those who turned up. Had to Waite a couple of hours, well it is what it is, let us all be grateful that the doors are open and they are doing their best to treat us. Stop winging about the wait time. If its an emergency call an ambulance.
Dropped in with my son on a Saturday afternoon. The medical receptionist I think her name was Gill was so unbelievably friendly and helpful. She was so busy with the phone and patients however spoke to everyone with kindness and respect. Massive thank you to her, my son felt very ill and it was a very long wait for the doctor but Gill's kindness made it easier. Give the woman a raise! :
