Story

Tandoori cuisine originated in northern India during the Mughal times.

Tandoor is a large clay pot in which meat, seafood and some vegetables are marinated in yoghurt, fresh ground spices, aromatic herbs and then cooked on skewers. The juices dripping on the burning charcoal, mingled with smoke contribute to the flavour. Many kinds of Tandoori bread are slapped on the side of the Tandoor oven for baking.

The name ‘Gaylord’ has become international, having catered at international fairs in Europe, Middle East as well as the New York World Fair in 1964-65. We will provide you with exotic and authentic Indian food cooked to perfection. Our menu has been developed by one of the best and world famous chef Mr. Musharraf, who with 30 years experience has been sharing his secret recipes for your exclusive enjoyment.

The best meal I've ever had. Absolutely blown us away. The food is something else, amazing. Staff are also brilliant, very attentive, explained all the menu to us, recommended what to get and how many dishes is enough. can't wait to come back!!!

Delicious food... staff is very polite and helpful... superb location.. close to southern cross station, crown casino, and yarra river... had a great time...

Fantastic food, Sunny is a fantastic representation of this brand, very warm hearted and I felt very happy to be here. He should receive a promotion for his genuine care.

Have visited a few restaurants recently but Gaylord had the best Covid measures in place. Felt like staff really cared about customer safety. It made it a relaxing experience. Food great as always.
