On Sunday 4th Dec 2022 I bought what I believed to be 1.004kg of Chicken B/L Breast Fillets SK ON, from Fresh Choice Barrington Mall, today I decided to remove the skin & dice in 2x 500g, to freeze, I weighed the first lot I diced to 500g, I weighed the second lot I diced & this weighed only 349g short of 155g, for my second 500g next I weighed the skin 68g so my total with skin was 917g short 87g and without skin 849g short 115g I also drained off just over 3/4 of a cup of water/chicken juice from the meat tray, very disappointing, back to the butchers in Barrington Mall for genuine weight/service.....
Rotting produce on display today. Pretty appalling considering the weekly price gouging your chain engages in. Your prices have gone up on average by more than 90% since 2017 - no cost increase due to supply or inflation excuses the amount you're ripping off struggling families. Disgusting business.
I had a bad customer experience here.... wouldn't go back there. Fresh choice are also horrendously expensive.... up there with 4 -square for price gouging. Buyer's beware. There is a warehouse literally 300 metres down the road ... if you are looking for food based bargains.
Went to the freshchoice wine and food festival. While I was not stabbed like I would expect at a countdown food and wine festival; the amount of second hand smoke and vape I had to be the in means a much more painful death awaits me.
It,s my local so I am in and out often. Staff are great always happy to help. But I find in the last couple of months stock levels have been varying a lot and when they come back they’ve gone up in price. And don’t give me the recession that’s cobblers, it’s just a good excuse to Waco prices up and take advantage of people. I find fresh choice has always been a little bit more expensive than say the likes of pack n Save but the prices have really skyrocketed to an unreasonable level. It is extremely disappointing and definitely doesn’t make me want to go there for anything. In fact I’m prepared to drive an extra 10 minutes to get to a Pak N Save because the savings are worth it. Sorry fresh choice I used to be a fan!
Weirdly expensive for a suburban supermarket and often out of stock or missing varieties of certain products. New World St Martin is cheaper and better, and so is Countdown Colombo. A shame as FreshChoice is in a convenient location for me.
Easy to shop, friendly, helpful staff. Good quality produce. Easy to access, several buses connect with the shopping center.
I would give you negative stars. To be accused of theft and treated like a thief after I had answered my phone and put it back in my backpack. And to then have to hear that it is "just doing my job", from both the cocky guard in question and the manager. No apology. In spite of the fact I had done nothing wrong. I have shopped here for years. I will never go here again.
