I ordered online with Furniture NZ 2 x household decor items and only 1 item a cushion was delivered whilst the other item an artificial floral bouquet wasn't included with no note explaining this. I emailed the customer service and received an email saying they'd get back to me in 5 days, which they never did. I emailed again and no response so I ended up phoning the customer service number. It was explained to me that the missing item was coming from their Hamilton store. They gave me the Hamilton store phone number and told me to call them myself as the second order was coming from them. I thought it was weird I had to call them myself and it wasn't a free phone number either! I found out after a few phone calls when no-one answered, that they didn't have the item in stock and it would have to go back into the computer system to find another store who might have it. I asked for a refund. I was told I would get a refund in up to 2 weeks! I'm sure this is not right. Thankfully the refund came through in 3 day"s time. Freedom really needs to get its online products, if sold out, promptly off their website. Their "customer service" actually needs to be customer service!!! I have lost trust in this store.
Their products are amazing but after sales service, delivery time frames are terrible. Had to chase them for 3 months before I got my furniture delivered to the warehouse. Then another two weeks have gone and it is still awaiting delivery even though delivery was pre paid - the phone lady said *they will deliver when they have time* and they charged $125 for one delivery! No compensation, no sorry, nothing. The store staff is great in the store but on the phone they have an attitude problem, they speak like Karens when I politely asked about the status in a follow up call. Do not buy from them, ever! I will leave a review of the two ladies who answer the phone in the furniture department with their management to teach them some phone manners. 0/5 stars.
Ordered a gold mirror online with 3 in stock. Received confirmation email but no further correspondence so I phoned to see if I could pick up. Was told they were still looking for it. Later told they had probably entered stock as gold when it should have been black. Advised they could not get from any other store or stock any other gold mirrors. Refund email came through but money still not received several days later.
Nice product range but absolutely do not recommend at all. I purchased a lounge suite 2 couches and ottoman December 2019. They were finally delivered July 2020 and by February 2021 they were completely faded from black to light grey almost white. When I followed up a coating had been missed hence the damage so I was able to select new items to the same value. Issue was all couches had gone up over $1000 during covid lockdowns. I finally selected on a sale after visiting the store numerous times and being ignored only to find a week later they “forgot” to put the order through and wanted me to pay another $1600. The new couch was delivered and they didn’t ask for the old to be collected. A few miscommunications and rude phone calls it’s sorted but do not recommend shopping here
Don’t bother with freedom furniture unless you want to be mucked around out of pocket with no product months later. We ordered a lounge suit 8 months ago. We were informed at the start it would take around 4months to get to us which wasn’t great but we still decided to go ahead with the purchase. After paying the large deposit we waited. Then we get an email after 5months saying we need to pay the rest before they send it from the depo. We did so and have now paid in full. 3 months later after paying in full we still don’t have our lounge suit. We have been so patient and have only received rude customer service over the phone from freedom moorehouse when the actually answer the phone and still no idea when we will have our product.
After 2 weeks of not receiving my order I emailed twice for an update to which I never got a reply. I ended up calling to which they told me my order had been declined due to no stock would of been nice to of had been notified of this I was told the money would be refunded back to me which I have still not seen a week later. I am now out of pocket for something I have not received. Would not order anything again.
It would be great if you answer your phone ...happy to take $thousands of my dollars and promise the earth but you won't answer your phone ....may I need to shop elsewhere in the future and let others know ...
We looked online and found a recliner that we liked and went to look at the product in store. After wandering around I went to the counter to see if they could point me in the right direction. They said they didn't have it and wouldn't help in finding anything similar in terms of finish, or comfort. They also were not very helpful when I asked about returning it if the finish wasn't what I expected. I left and contacted the online, explaining I had been in the store and asking for assistance re the returns policy if the recliner wasn't what I was expecting and asking for someone to call me. They told me I had to go in store. When I responded saying I had been they didn't respond to my email. This whole experience has put me off buying purchases from Freedom, while I appreciated that the person in store may not have been able to help me find the exact product it would have been nice to at least see the colour of the fabric. Ordered 2 items from the sale armchair and lamp both were showing in store but 1 month later no delivery. I was told the lamp has shipped from Hamilton 3 weeks ago but no one can provide a tracking number?? I have called the store who tell me to talk to the online team and tried emailing/calling online team but still no answers they dont reply to email at all. I can understand the delays with Covid but its the lack of communication that is frustrating.
Friendly staff. Some furniture on display are faulty or without price tag which can be a bit inconvenient.
