Foxglove Bar & Kitchen

If you want a great place for a dinner for two, Foxglove's restaurant offers an intimate dining experience with a great view of the harbour. The dinner menu is fantastic with the market fish and eye fillet steak being superb (kudos to Fred and the Kitchen). The maître d' Libby and our waitress Erin made sure our experience was truly exceptional. If you want an overall great dinner out, then I can't recommend Foxglove enough.

After several recommendations from others, we had our wedding anniversary at the Foxglove (in the ballroom function room) with approximately 50 guests. The foxglove staff were exceptional in ensuring our event ran smoothly, the food presented was excellent. Lucy the event manager at foxglove was just terrific in planning and implementing our event - nothing seemed to much trouble. We couldn't fault anything - the night was perfect and definitely exceeded our expectations. Top marks from us!

Good dining experience for me and my wife. We went for an early dinner in December. Menu had a good selection. Waiter was friendly and polite. With a good understanding of the menu. We decided on the fillets for our main and they were on the money! Desert was a little slow to arrive. But on the whole very vibey and enjoyable night out.

Really nice pub to come to, plenty of seating ranging from big tables to super comfy sofas (lots of them). We ended up eating here and trying some of their burgers, the actual portions were a little smaller than I'd have liked, but the burger was delicious, the chips were really disappointing (too chunky and not much too them). Overall, loved the place and would definitely come back in future. Loved it.

Why did you put oil on my edamame? I might be a bit old fashioned but I thought you just quickly steamed it then served with a sprinkle of rock salt? All we could taste was the oil. The tortilla chips and dip are are bit sub par as well. 12 massive tortilla chips serve with a tiny bland dip that shatters any chip that dares to scoop it? Thanks for the four tomatoes balanced on top of the dip they really completed the snack 😐 Nice view and friendly staff but we will not come back.
