Whilst travelling for work, I was looking for a for a quick bite and a good craft beer. Leroy’s was underneath my hotel and such a cool place! Dive bar vibe with Americana furnishings, there are some tasty beers on tap to keep hopheads happy. Tasty tacos too. Everyone seemed really happy and relaxed. Great place to visit.
Taco Tuesdays is amazing! Very high quality tacos Also cheap beer for Wellington. Great atmosphere and dive bar inspired decor.
We’ve come a long way since the dark days of the Bull & Bear I think I still have my B&B VIP card and I’m glad to say that Leroy’s does some absolutely top notch fried chicken. A recent visit luckily coincided with 241 burger Monday, which is perfect value. I’m not sure that the size of the burger justifies the size of the standard price tag but I’m pretty sure I’d be happy to fork out the $19 to tackle two Spicy Pollo burgers myself. If you can time it for one of their daily deals, I’d thoroughly recommend a visit.
Great 'dive bar' in the heart of the CBD, refreshingly different to the other more sterile places in the vicinity. Good food, a decent selection of craft beer, and the prices are better than expected for the location. The staff are real friendly and helpful too. What more could you ask?
Staff were friendly, service was fast, and the Burger Wellington entry was delicious!
Decent vibe. Not much reception. Some decent beers on tap, although too much Macro-brewery. Some tap beers weren't listed on menu. Prices on the high side.
Update: came back again, waited 40 mins and they forgot my order. Staff are still friendly, service is still pretty poor. This one wasn't down to shortages, they just outright forgot somehow. Bit of a shame but I came back and was absolutely not wowed. Original : Came with colleagues for lunch and had an odd experience, ordered and waited 45 mins before getting a refund and leaving. One of our team got their food a full 20ish mins before I eventually left, others apparently got their food about 10 mins after. Staff were nice enough but didn't offer anything in the way of service recovery. Would have been good to know ahead of time if there was going to be a long wait for food, especially odd that things came out at wildly different times with no communication or acknowledgement of the situation. Usually the food and atmosphere are good but to be honest after this experience I wouldn't rush back. It's a good vibe for a beer on a Friday. Pretty terrible for a lunch, at least in my experience.
Great bar. Newly refitted to a cool vibe. Food is good but slow to get at lunch times. Selection of beers is good and changes all the time. Staff are friendly and helpful. They have pin ball machines.
Classic, rustic, old-school charm and perfect for the disco-themed party that I was there to entertain. The staff in the upstairs bar all got into the theme and the crowd boogied the night away to my 70s mostly dance tunes. Great space for this type of event, and nice to have the option of booth seating, the way bars and nightclubs used to be.
I had 2 tacos, chicken and beef. Both were superb, quality ingredients, flavour, presentation. Truly delicious. I also had the Calm Waters Heyday beer on tap. Delicious, looked like orange juice. Amazing beer that reminds me of a Joni Mitchell song, I could drink a case of you. I'll be back for more of both. Leeroy's is great.
