I visited the store one Saturday morning a few weeks ago.  I had a tight time frame to get a gown & really had no idea what I wanted.  The ladies at Formal Wear of Melbourne were absolutely superb.  No appointment, no problem!  Tight time frame, no problem!  No idea what I wanted, no problem!  The ladies quickly got to work showing me gowns that would suit my body shape & my request for nothing to "over the top".  In around an hour I had chosen a beautiful gown & one that was extremely affordable.  Do not be put off by the unusual location (you need to climb a flight of stairs) or what may appear to be limited variety.  There are heaps of gowns (particularly bridesmaids gowns,  which my wedding dress actually is) & the staff are so honest & know their stuff.  Do yourself a favour & check them out.

Simply AMAZING!! The personalized service, the friendly staff, the coordination - everything. This level of customer service just doesn’t exist anywhere else! 
Yvette is truly a godsend! In the lead up to our wedding she took a load off my mind knowing that all the guys suits would be perfect. My mum also looked spectacular in her dress which was suggested by Yvette. Just perfect. 
I truly cannot thank you enough! You really are in a league of your own!!

What a wonderful place for all your wedding needs. Professional staff who are in the know about everything especially Yvette...you are amazing. Being an older bride had no idea what I should wear but you made me feel just as special and beautiful as I did for my first wedding as a very young woman. I would personally like to thank you and hope your are appreciated and rewarded for your knowledge and experience.

We originally went to visit the store in Wantirna South as we needed assistance with measurements. My husband was in a bridal party overseas and we didn't want to get it wrong. Brittany welcomed us to the store and was really helpful. Yvette was busy at the time, but she made time to help us out. Meanwhile, I had spotted some dresses that went up to plus sizes. I had been having so much trouble finding a dress for the wedding. Brittany helped me to try some on and I found the perfect dress. Yvette helped with the consult and was brilliant throughout the whole process. I ended with a beautiful dress and was made to feel comfortable and never felt judged (which happens so often). I will definitely be back if I ever need a formal dress again. Brittany and Yvette are AMAZING!!

Wow what an experience! What gorgeous dresses you have. You have made me feel gorgeous. Yvette your absolutely amazing! From the moment I walked into the store your service was impeccable and the follow up regarding alterations and pick up was first class. Can't wait to wear my dress and so look forward to buying all my future evening dresses from you. Your a superstar!
