i wish i could give 0 stars.
i rented a truck that had no tie down rails in the back of truck so i had no where to tie my stuff to. the wing mirror was broken off and just duct taped back on, blinkers broken and not working, brakes pulled hard to the right when using them and to top it all off, got charged for an extra 800 km after i only used an extra 300km and took two months to get a refund.

NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE SO F#%KING  RUDE AND DODGEE. BE VERY AWARE OF THE INSURANCE TAKE OUT YOUR OWN INSURANCE HAVE BEEN ADVISED LEGALLY TO THIS BUT THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER TIME USING HTIS COMPANY. GREAT NEWS THAT THEY ARE CLOSING DOWN THO. ALWAYS BELIEVE IN KARMA.

The worst customer service ever AND they do try to over charge once you get to the office. I got a "quote" on their website and confirmed that price on the phone when I booked. I spoke to a young man on the phone but when I got to the office I was "served" by an older man - I assume he was the owner. He tried to charge me $16 more on the quote plus $5 extra for trolley hire... The trolley prices were taped to the counter- I could see the pricing. When I questioned him he was extremely rude and suggested I go elsewhere!!! All this while his 2 dogs cornered my daughter near the chewed up couches... No doubt provided for the comfort of Fleet Hires cherished customers... I suggest looking "elsewhere" because if customer service and the best price are important to you... You won't find it at Fleet Hire !!!

Multiple hidden fees and terrible customer service. Called about hiring a truck on Saturday the X of X month, and they said it would cost $85 plus 20c per km over 200km and a $300 deposit, which we agreed to. When we arrived and our driver was under 25 they said that's an extra $20 which we had no problem with. When we finished for the day, we filled the tank at the 7-11 across the road and returned it after hours. Next day we get an invoice with a $30 insurance fee, $65 Saturday excess, and $12 fuelling up fee. I call and ask for an explanation of these extra fees, and they claim to have told us about them, which they never did, either on the phone or when we picked the truck up. Incredibly dodgy business practice not highlighting how much it is actually going to cost when we outright asked over the phone what the overall cost would be, and the only said $85 for the day and 20c per km over 200km. $30 insurance and $65 Saturday excess were NEVER mentioned, and I don't see how $12 of fuel could have been used in the less than 100m drive from 7-11 to their depo. The issue was brushed off with "you signed the contract, you should have read it more closely." Terrible customer service; would have used them the following weekend as the truck was fine, but we're taking our business elsewhere from now on, you should too.

Used these guys 3 times now and they have been super helpful, like the fact there are no hidden costs and are family run I won't b going anywhere els guys cheers 👍👍
