Budget Car and Truck Rental Sunshine Coast Airport

Huge queue at coolongatta to get car, 50 minutes... staff lovely and helpful, unfortunately we arrived as a flight came in...bad timing. Drop off to Maroochydore airport , sunshine coast airport need to put up signs for car rental returns...3 lanes and no signs... drove round and round... Budget were good though not their fault it's poorly sign posted.

Never received my $100 deposit back on return of car full of petrol in perfect order. Still waiting Budget Direct?

They don't even deserve 1 star. I needed to extend the car rental period i spent 2 hrs on the phone on Friday to their "customer service" number, and eventually they said they were unable to help so they would send an email to the airport location and ask them to contact me. Same deal Saturday, then Sunday and finally again on Monday. Then with no return phone calls or emails, I drive all the way to the airport to sort it out. The staff there are sitting back chatting and laughing with nothing to do. They were very unhelpful and wanted to charge me an arm and a leg to extend. Luckily for me I had done my homework and Hertz came to tue rescue and were able to offer me a far better car for less money and service with a smile. I will never use Budget again.

Although I did not had the best experience with Budget overseas Israel the one I had in Sunshine Coast was great. The renting process was fast, especially the return of the car. The car was clean and in perfect working order. Also, no marks. They even posted me 2 items that I left in the car.

TERRIBLE experience! Drove almost an hour to pick up a vehicle which we'd booked & were told could pick up until 8:30PM last night Nov 6th. We got there @ 8:20PM to find them CLOSED. We called them the next day to be told "Oh well, nothing I can do about it. We work in with flights. I can rent you a truck now". No acknowledgement! No apology. No deal. TERRIBLY unprofessional.

Best car rental experience ever. Booth is 10 feet from baggage claim, and your car 10 feet from there. Guy at the booth was fast and professional. Best of all, they had already taken *pictures* of the car and all marked damage for you. Went from plane to road in under 10 minutes. Amazing.

Booked a car, they wouldn’t take a digital license. Got only about 20% refund. Walk across the room to another rental and the rest of them all take digital licenses. So stupid.

I had good service as a walk in customer. I returned the car to the Sunshine Coast airport which was easy to do and is well signposted.

If I can give a zero star I will probably give that they can simply be defined as rip offs with all their hidden charges and taxes that comes up after you have returned the car the customer service have no idea and they are just reading a script and the prices wow not even worth the value made a mistake and even after weeks still trying to sort out this problem what a waste of time will never come back again in my good conscious will prefer a bus over these people

Absolutely rude and unhelpful lady behind the counter. Doesn't hurt to be polite especially when people have travelled long distances. Won't be hiring a car thru budget again
