Purchased today flakes, chips and a few other bits. One piece of flake was FULL of bones. Just be careful eating it.nPotato cakes were very oily. Everything else was good. Manager was great when we rang to tell them about the bones. However the girl on the the phone was very rude, asked us if we were sure they were bones and said well we can't do anything about it.
hubby likes this place. I finally tried some too and it was pretty good! The batter is golden and crispy on the flake, the potato cakes and chippies were a surprise how fresh, golden and crispy on the outside, yet fluffy on the inside
The fish was nice, we ordered blue grenadier. Chips were good, those yellow tinge ones I think are cooked in vegetable oil. Gave us a couple extra potato cakes! Good experience. Ordered on Good Friday when it was super busy too.
Came here for the first time and Ordered 2 flakes, potato cakes & calamari from here. It’s literally very oily. Couldn’t even eat the potato cakes because there was that much oil in them Whats even worse All potato cakes were burnt smh ‍nnFlake was ok not worth $8.50 for a skinny piece.nCalamari was average. that too was dowsed in oil. Only took a bite didn’t end up eating it all.nGreat customer service thou.
This is the best fish and chips in Berwick, hands down. Tried the rest, keep coming back here, which is good cause it's our local. Staff are friendly, food is always hot and crispy and usually don't have to wait long. Highly recommend fishtastic!
