First time here and had a wonderful experience. Weather was fine, bright and sunny so we chose to sit outside, enjoying the sea view and gentle breeze. The place was themed, with fishermen things, feels like going onto a big boat. When we came, we were greeted in the most friendly way. Our server was fast, polite and attentive. We ordered our meals. I went for the pan fried fish of the day butterfish, with half and half chips and croquette. While waiting for the meals to arrive, we had our go with the salad bar boat. There were plenty of choices, and seems to be well topped up. All of us enjoyed it. Overall had a good time, brilliant weather, good food and value for money.
Five stars all around. The restaurant was busy but I called ahead and got a great booth next to the spectacular view of the waves. Customer service was friendly. Prices were really good and the food was delicious. I'll definitely return next time I'm in town.

Call in advance to reserve.lots of people especially during lunch time.option to stay outdoor or indoor.Buffet salad..loved the waldorf,egg and potato salad..Took awhile before our food came but we didn't really mind as we enjoyed the view plus the salad buffet Went back 4x loved the ribeye steak,light serving is good for one. hubby ordered chicken tenderloins,main.we were so surprised by how generous the portion was.plus chips and croquette.as we were already full, we took them home,ate them on our way to Rotorua. Absolutely recommended!
If you disembark from the interislander and travelling north.. make this your place to eat..Call ahead and book a table so you don't miss out! Salad buffet bar has a great variety of delicious salads,main meals are fantastic portions, purchase just entree and add salad bar at an extra cost,if your wanting to eat light.The $10 desserts have some great options, hot,cold,drinks, free chilled self serve water avail, mock tails, cocktails,fully licenced bar,kids menu..Beautiful view of the sea if dining outside. Staff were amazing! Please give this a helpful thumbs up below :
A really great resturant in every aspect! So clean and tidy, friendly staff and well organized, tasty food, good portions and not expensive, and plenty spaces for parking. The view is stunning/amazing. Highly recommended
Beautiful view,great food for the price,good portion sizes,excellent service. Only sad part was our table was to small for the 5 of us,we felt abit squashed up. Cocktails and drinks were amazing. Sauce for the steak was abit bland but not bad. Steaks were perfect,seafood amazing. Salads great. Again, well done on service! Will go back again.
First time here. Wanted to try something different drove here from lower hutt. Me and my partner had the T bone steak and the ribeye steak meals. Very well cooked. The salad bar could use a overhaul. Some salads looked fit for the deceased. A good review of salad selections would be nice. 4 stars based on food, service, environment and atmosphere.
Some things never change and for Fishermans this is probably working against it unfortunately. A cracking view of the Kapiti Coast and the Island is let down by a complicated menu and average food. Ironically, the steak meal was the best dish served to the table by friendly staff. Could be awesome.
An old family favourite. Has been a long gap since my last visit to this classic family seafood restaurant in the Kapiti Coast. The sea food is cooked traditionally with quality fish . Other favourites on the menu include steak, seafood chowder, squid, muscles and pippies. The staff are friendly and helpful. The sea view from this humble family restaurant is world class and special at sun set Vegetarian options: Fairly basic and traditional Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly but you should keep an eye on them on the front lawn if under 5 yo
