Nice large farmers store. Great customer service. Entry to the store can be tricky after the mall has closed. Well recommended though.

One thing that consistently this store excels in is bad service. I've experienced this multiple times over the years. The worst is always displayed by their Store Managers. Here's an example: came into the store to pick up close to $400 of click and collect items. I took the opportunity to exchange a couple of baby outfits to larger sizes. We received both as presents. One had a gift exchange card and the other didn't. The first gift was exchanged without any issues. The second gift without the receipt encountered issues. The friendly check out operator couldn't help so called the Store Manager. And as predicted out comes the great customer service I consistently get from these Store Managers. She was rude and made me feel like a thief. For about 10 minutes, I was asked where I got it, who gave it to me. The price of the item was around $12. I was really close to asking for a refund on the nearly $400 of other purchases. In the age of online shopping, I ask myself why I bother go into stores like this and deal with rude staff. Needless to say I will refrain from purchasing from Farmers and presently vetos my wife when she tries to purchase from Farmers both off and online.

Most humiliating experience with Staff on duty at Glenfield Store at 6.15pm on 18th Dec 2016. My daughter and her partner were shopping for Christmas presents at the store. As one of the presents was for me and i was with them, they were trying to be discreet about it. They finally asked my son to take me out of the store as it was difficult to be discreet about it. After i left, they went to the bags area to finally look around freely and decide on the bag they wanted to get me. In the meanwhile, this cow of an employee an older lady walked around to where my daughter and her partner were looking, and should have asked if they needed help with anything, instead stood around pretending to be looking at the bags herself, until the SECURITY GUARD, she had obviously asked to come to the area arrived and left him standing there guarding the bags, until my daughter and her partner, made the purchase of the bag and left the store. Thanks to this experience, my daughter was in tears that someone would think they were in the store to steal, and in relaying the incident to me could not even keep the surprise of my Christmas gift anymore. Training to staff should be more appropriate in instances like these. Please teach your staff that they are not there to sit in judgement of people, entering your store. While we appreciate that it is the holiday season, and you do suffer losses due to shoplifting, we as paying customers should never be judged until you have evidence of the crime. All my friends and colleagues will hear about this, and of course i wanted to return the product immediately, as i will now never have a pleasant feeling every time i see that bag in my sight, but my daughter calmed me down by saying she did not want to create a scene. Farmers Glenfield we are never ever shopping in your store again.
