Right by the beach this lovely Italian restaurant has everything. Lovely Italian food, freshly baked goods and a separate ice cream parlour. The cheese and tomato bread is actually a yummy pizza.
Good pizza a bit overpriced with the post-inflation price update. However, size is good and crust tasty! Like many other places in NZ, they say "french patisserie"on a supposedly italian restaurant btw, but it is the european concept that is sold in here, very far from the actual thing both in elaboration and quality. Visited this local tonight for the first time and I have to say, we were very impressed. The food was delicious and portion sizes were great. Cannot fault Faridas at all. Was particularly impressed that they catered for vegans and were more than willing to adjust dishes to meet my vegan daughters requirements. They even had dairy free cheese. We will be back for sure.
I came to get fish and chips but found the theme was now a bit classier, Italian restaurant. Not bad. They still sell ice creams from the window down the side, pretty popular on a hot day.Food: 4/5
Excellent food surprisingly so! pasta, food, wine and the service from our French restaurant manager was lovely and thoughtful right down to serving our wine by the glass at the table - quality service. The only gap missing for a 5 star review was the lack of a high chair for our 18 month year old and no colouring stuff for our other small people . Stuff that adult diners don’t notice but are real issues for families. We will definitely be back.
Went here and the food was good but omg the service was shocking. Took forever to clear our table and the table next to us had to get up and find a staff member so they could order. Their menu in the restaurant is different to online.
We went for ice cream. They mainly have tip top. Service was a bit variable, Great one day just ok the next. Good amount of outdoor seatingFood: 4/5

The kids 5&7 chose Farida’s for dinner last night as a reward. As a family, we don’t get to go out for dinner too often so it’s a bit of a novelty for us & we try to make it special for them too. Farida’s just never disappoints - the food was delicious pizza & chicken parmigiana - plus ice cream, creme brûlée & gateau for dessert!! and the kind, considerate service was amazing too. He really took the time to listen & talk to the kids as the tiny humans they are, and allowed them space to try out their French too! Thanks Farida’s for a wonderful dinner. :
Highly recommend this restaurant for the service and the food. They let us stay after the official closing time for the kitchen. Such great food and what lovely staff. Really appreciate it.Food: 5/5
