Great thin and crispy beer batter. Chips and kumara fries, oyster and panko crumbed snapper all fantastic. Always consistent over a decade of frequenting. The best fish and chips I have had from there, maybe changed their beer batter? Great value $5 Hoki in Auckland would be pre frozen, not wet fish freshly battered.
Paid $47 for 4 crumbed Snapper $4 chips 1 Cheeseburger and 2 Pineapple fritters.... the fish was great... sadly lacking in the amount of fries received... approximately 12 fries each...

Have visited 3 times recently. Excellent fish and chips. Fish tastes fresh. Is worth paying a little extra for snapper which is delicious. Batter is perfect, crispy but not overdone. Chips likewise. Top marks

Really delicious food, with proper fresh fillets of snapper etc., which could actually be distinguished from the other fish! Chips were very nice, good amount of crunch. Overall not too expensive considering the quality. The salt & pepper squid was surprisingly good. Quite busy on a Friday night, would recommend calling in advance to order.
Had fresh crumbed snapper and chips yum cooked just right and not greasy ... a good size piece of snapper bigger than I expected
Unfortunately batter fell off the salt & pepper squid and the tarakahi, & the mussel fritter was a bit tasteless and chewy ! 2.5 stars out of 5
