Quiet early in the morning, hygiene and presentation of the highest level, impressed, great area for children wheelchair access, shame about the yolk, extreme giggles while eating. Had a lovely Mother’s Day breakfast at Dear Coasties with our little one this morning and once again had a great experience.nWe’ve been here several times over the last couple of years and have always left happy with both the food and the service.nThe staff are consistently warm and welcoming.nThe food is always fresh, well presented, and genuinely good value for money. We’ve also brought family and friends here for early morning breakfasts and everyone has enjoyed it.nIt’s become our go-to breakfast spots in Orewa and we’ll definitely keep coming back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great coffee, quality food, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
We had a very disappointing experience with a staff member named Manni.nnMy friend was ordering a drink and politely asked a question about the coffee. However, Manni was quite rude and repeatedly responded by saying, “Medium, large, regular?” without addressing the question. When my friend tried to ask about the milk options, she ignored the question again and repeated the same thing.nnTo avoid any further discomfort, we just placed the order.nnThe food was good and the ambience was nice, but the service from Manni was not acceptable at all. Customer service should be more polite and attentive.
Poached eggs were beautiful, asked for crispy bacon and they delivered. Mocha was divine. Small play area for my toddler, and great service.
Bad experience. We ordered the beef burger, but the bread was moldy. The staff only offered us one free drink. We then changed to steak, but the steak wasn’t fresh either. Probably won’t come again. Seems like the ownership has changed.
