Food was pretty subpar.nPancakes themselves were nice but minimal berries and mascapone. Apples were a sad choice of 'seasonal' fruit.nKorean chicken burger was terrible. Chicken was dry inside but the coating was soggy. Buns were super dry as well. Fries had zero seasoning.nnThe staff were very friendly and accommodating but food really let this place down.
There is a lovely feel and atmosphere to Dear Coasties. The service was excellent - thanks to the bright, friendly, attentive waitress going to Uni to study civil engineering.nThe food counters were filled with amazing-looking food - it was difficult to choose!nThe pot of tea was served on a stand that contained a tea-light to keep the tea warm.
We had brunch at this cafe today, and it was one of the worst meals ever. If you are going just for coffee, beer, or a muffin, then it would be fine. Otherwise, it's not worth spending money here, as the quality of the food is not great. The avocado was not ripe enough to eat, and the sourdough bread was so hard that it was difficult to eat. In the granola, the grapes were rotten. Overall, we were not satisfied with the food quality and customer service. One of the young girls who served us didn't smile and didn't talk with us at all. It was as if she just wanted us to eat and leave.
Korean fried chicken burger was dry, soggy, with buns not even toasted. Pancakes were odd with apples and pear. Ice mocha tasted like an ice chocolate. To top it off staff wanted to clear my wife's plate while I was eating and not finished with it. McDonald's burger would've been better.
Love this café! They are so friendly and efficient here and their food is next level. The yumminess never disappoints!nnLooking forward to my next visit!
