Story

Casablanca is contemporary Eastern Mediterranean cooking.

Inspired by travels around the Mediterranean and Middle East, Casablanca delights in bringing the warm hospitality and the bustling markets of Marakesh and Istanbul to Orewa on the Hibiscus Coast Highway.

I thought I'd take advantage of the Monday night special along with a nice glass of wine. Wine and meal arrived promptly and while beef cheek was tasty, the meal wasn't quite as advertised. Special or not, no one came to tell me the kitchen was supposedly out of the missing ingredient; in fact no one thought to ask me how my meal was full stop. I wasn't offered coffee or dessert menu which I was inclined to have on this occasion. The place was moderately busy. Was I wearing the cloak of invisibility of the loan woman diner? When I pointed this out when I paid the bill, I added that quite often I eat out with others or my family. I'll give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt for overlooking me on this occasion but will suss out up the road first before I take anyone else there.

Outstanding food and service we love this place the meals are good size and Services good. The food is very authentic and fresh. They also had a nice outdoor seating area

If you are looking for something different, this is IT! Turkish/Mediterranean in decor and food. No matter what you select from their large menu...it will be delicious. Good service, good food ....all enjoyed with a glass of wine!!

Amazing food, great service, awesome drinks good value for money! If you haven't been there yet, I would highly recommend it. 👍

Pretty nice food. Hummus was kind of like cement though. Fish I had was very well seasoned but I couldnt really taste it. Staff were very friendly and place was relatively full. Also ordered a mint tea which was like water with every so slight mint taste. But a pretty good overall
