Atrocious attitude from reception when attempting to make an appointment. Instead of politely explaining the need to return to see the doctor for a checkup before my needed appointment simply because I hadn’t been in for a long time due to Covid not wanting to be near or around doctors as that’s how my partner ended up with it. She as I was not given her name when she answered was rude and short with me and considering I had changed and come to Greater knox because they had been so nice and had a great family focused attitude, such a disappointment. The slow decline in service and now this incident has ensured I will find another doctor for myself and my family! Also doesn’t look good when reception couldn’t care less about being rude and upsetting their customer base
I've never found any of the staff rude and the doctors are amazing. This is the only practice I've ever gone to where doctors actually care about you and actually take their time in the appointment to give the best medical advice. I can see a lot of the negative reviews are from entitled parents who don't control their kids. Maybe they're the problem because it's certainly not this practice.
Rude, dismissive, and incompetent staff. Appointments never available. When you can see them, they rush you out without fully assessing you. Deliberately double-dipping the medicare by making you book multiple appointments when it's not necessary. Avoid at all costs. Edit: My "rudeness" was a direct reflection of the rudeness that I received from your staff IMMEDIATELY after coming in for declining mental health issues. If you don't like being treated how you treat your customers, then maybe you should treat your patients with dignity and respect, and their attitude towards your staff will be infinitely more dignified and respectful.
I have great admiration for Knox Family Practice. A few years ago my life was saved due to the diligence of Dr. Sasi and his quick intervention. This included after hours surgery the same night as my consultation to remove a suspicious mole he thought looked malignant. He 'phoned me the next day and told me it was a melanoma and organised my entry into Box Hill Hospital to have a larger area removed a.s.a.p.. After the procedure, I was told by my doctor I would have only lived a further 2 years if this had not been diagnosed. A doctor at a previous practice had looked at the mole & laughed saying it was "too small to be a melanoma"! All of the clinic staff are attentive/friendly and over many years of visits, both my wife and I have nothing but admiration for the care we have received both within the practice or via telephone. On many occasions, sitting in the waiting room, I have admired how the reception staff handle and control difficult patient situations - their professionalism is never in doubt during the most stressful events which can occur from time to time in a busy medical practice. The latest initiative of incorporating an "inhouse" pharmacy, is another example of why Greater Knox Family Practice is such a time saving commodity for it's patients. The pharmacists are very informative, providing helpful advice on prescribed medications with a caring, friendly attitude. I can't say enough to recommend the friendly staff. The clinic's bulk billing means you can get the care you need without financial stress. As a pensioner, I am so grateful I have such an amazing and caring doctor along with a fantastic backup staff. A big thank you to you all!
This practice has gone down hill. The reception staff and practice manager are extremely rude and have no customer service skills at all. You have to sit in your car and wait for your appointment which can be up to 1 hour sometimes. They have a beautiful waiting room but you are not allowed to use it, you either freeze in your car in winter or dehydrate in summer. You are a number in this practice, no care and no empathy. I won’t be returning after many years with this practice. Due to substandard referrals I have been on the waiting list at box hill to see a specialist for 2 1/2 years. Box Hill stated the referral deemed me a non urgent case as I was not advocated for.
My family and I have been coming here for years, and I have found the doctors to be good. Although we had a recent experience where they had not updated my daughter’s vaccination register which caused the government to cancel our child care subsidy. After trying to contact management via the phone then email multiple times, it has been very disappointing that they have not reached out.
Couple of errors made with appointment times of late but I've never found the reception staff rude. I've been seeing Dr Suhanya for many years now and she's always been attentive and thorough.
Super rude receptionist staff time and time again, year after year. Such as shame as it could be a great local clinic. Instead I would much rather drive further and be spoken to respectfully.
This a very professional practice. I have been a patient of this practice for over 20 years and have always found the staff and the Doctors to be kind, compassionate and caring. I have recommended this practice to many family members and friends and they have all been very pleased with their care. I would highly recommend this practice.
Absolutely disgusting service. We have recently moved to the area. Both my children have been & I am yet to go. I have come down with a cold covid negative and a cough, iv called to get an appointment and been told they wouldn’t see me at all because I have symptoms? I said of course I do that’s why I am calling I am unwell and your a doctor clinic, am I ment to go to emergency and wait for hours on end with two young children for cold systems? No wounder out health care system is failing due to clinics like this. You should be assumed of your operations! She also said I can’t get a consultation over the phone because I haven’t been there before ? And then said they don’t see new clients on weekends. I will no longer be taking my children here awful service!! Awful doctor clinic. Do not recommend!
