On a personal taste and having eaten Indian food in many countries, unfortunately, this was not to my taste..nThe location is fantastic, situated on the verge of a marina.nTables and chairs are basic wood with seating inside and outside.nService was fantastic from all staff!nThe food was a little bland for Indian food but we were a group 6 and there were mixed opinions.. Being a vegetarian there were quite a few dishes available so I took a paneer dish with rice and peshawari naan, the curry was ordered medium spicy but looks like they cater for westerners who don't like spicy foods, there was no kick to the curry. The peshawari naan was full of sultanas and no coconut or almonds plus very thin...nnI'm sure many will enjoy here but for me I wouldn't rush back....
Though the restaurant was closed today Tuesday but fortunately I met the owner Mr. Bikram who welcomed me. He offered me tea that he prepared himself which was really out of the world and fantastic. The best tea I ever had. Thanks Bikram for your courtesy.
Been to this restaurant a few times in the past few weeks and I must say, it is one of the finest dining spots for Indian cuisine. The restaurant is located at Cullen Bay, right on the marina, and offers a wide range of delicious dishes to choose from. I highly suggest trying their Chicken Biryani and Butter Chicken, accompanied by the Chicken Tikka Rice and Exotic Special Naan Bread as sides. The prices are very reasonable and the staff provide exceptional customer service, leaving a lasting and memorable impression. I highly recommend this place if you are in Darwin. Don't miss it!
Reasonably priced and tasting dishes Palak paneer $17. #lambroganjosh lamb was tender, spicy sauce, no salt which I like, but more herbs and fragrance needed. #roti 3.5$ for 1 not sufficient for a dish. #mango #lassi was the only lassi on the menu. Licensed restaurant, very well located on #Cullenbay marina. Great for date and business meetings. Last number 14 bus is 5:40pm. 30 minutes walking distance from CBD.. take Number 4 bus to the end of Mitchell street and walk to #Cullen bay.
Felt like i was sitting in the middle of the desert. Aircon was non existent. Mushroom curry felt like it was made up of expired mushrooms. Chickpeas, mushroom, panner, everything tasted like i was eating the same thing and i guess they're afraid of flavour and spices. Overall experience was like superman having to eat kryptonite.
