We were craving pizza and this place satisfied. The pizza was good! We had the diavola and Regina.nnIt's loud and noisy, the bar is right there and shakers are constantly going. You walk through the casino to get to it. But you have a nice view of the sunset.
Our servers were lovely, food was incredible and the atmosphere was delightful. All dishes came out promptly and were delicious. Couldn’t complain about a single thing, every part of the evening exceeded expectations. Absolutely wonderful and we will be sure to come back again!
Pizza. Came here for the pizza and did not disappoint but the tuna omg so good and the pork belly oh my! Everything was consistent, fresh and flavourful. Even the tiramisu at the end was really good.nnMy only complaint, and maybe it’s something I should have thought about being at a casino was the doof doof next door at the pool.nFelt like I was having a nice meal inside a night club.
Ill Piatto enjoys a reputation as a fine dining establishment in Darwin, and certainly, the atmosphere lives up to that expectation. The restaurant presents a sophisticated and elegant setting, making it a suitable choice for special occasions. However, the culinary experience proved to be a somewhat uneven affair.nWhile the pizza was commendable, a clear highlight of the meal, other dishes fell short of expectations. The carbonara, in particular, was disappointing, suffering from dryness and an overpowering amount of pepper, detracting from the overall flavor profile. This raises questions about the authenticity of their Italian cuisine, especially when compared to other Italian restaurants in Australia. The price point, while reflective of the restaurant's upscale image, feels somewhat unjustified given the inconsistency in taste.nFortunately, the dessert course offered redemption. The gelato and tiramisu were both exceptional, demonstrating a clear strength in their pastry and dessert offerings. These sweet treats left a lasting positive impression and were a definite highlight of the dining experience
The staff are lovely especially Dustine who assisted us throughout the our entire dinner. Absolutely amazing italian restaurant located at the mindil casino. We loved their diavola pizza and steak but the star of their menu is their risotto.
