Loved this place sitting at the far end of South Melbourne Market. Food is fresh and tasty. They have this signature sauce with garlic and different herbs which is so good on their dishes. We sat by the counter where you can see them prepare the food. Very nice experience. Would love to go back again.
Food: some seriously good seafood. We ordered an array of things from the menu, including stingray, calamari, mussels, prawns and everything was delicious. Very fresh, full of flavour & comes out quickly and cooked well. The stingray and calamari was a standout - highly recommend. Venue/Service: the restaurant itself is in an odd spot. We were seating in what I believe was the walkway into the south Melbourne market closed at the time we went. The kitchen was quite loud, which made it difficult to have a conversation, considering there was also music being played. The service was pretty good though, quite attentive. Would go back, recommended for seafood lovers.
Just wow! A friend recommended this place, I didn’t imagine the food would be this good. The spaghetti seafood dish is good for 1-3 people. I love the bake mussels, sauce is very tasty. I’ll definitely come back to visit.
The food is really yummy!! Could have given a 5-star review but really the waiters and waitresses do not even know table waiting 101…. I wish they are friendlier, more polite and more professional… such a shame as the food here is really nice.
Great value for quality seafood: fresh oysters - $2 each; large plate of seafood pasta for 2 - $56 per serve. The seafood is super fresh, you can really taste it. The vibes are great too - warm, homely and cosy. We will come back more. Strongly recommend.
Seafood restaurants open from morning till dinner time. You can get tapas style dishes along with bigger to-share dishes like the seafood pasta we ordered. Sambal Stingray grilled nicely, the flesh was juicy and meaty. The lamb was tender and the sauce that came with it was great. Outdoor seatings can be cold at night. Food - 8 Service - 8 Vibe - 8 Price - $$$
My definitely to go place for seafood. The seafood selection here are great and fresh and the way they cook em do justice for these respectable seafood. Personally I recommend grilled squid middle size at least, stingray and their seafood pasta.
Customer service was quick and efficient. We ordered the seafood pasta for two. It was a little bit pricey but we happy to pay for fresh seafood. Only negative is they charge for their house made chilli sauce $2.00 but regardless would highly recommend.Food: 3/5
Fresh, fresh, fresh seafood no doubt, had the prawns, calamari, marinara pasta and sambal sting ray. All were 10/10. Waitresses here are super friendly and provided exceptional customer service from the young lady and Aunty working here.
4.3* Highly recommend - whole grilled calamari, this was perfectly cooked and sat in a delicious garlicky tomatoey oil. We enjoyed everything else that we had, only points of improvement would be if they deveined the prawns which you can do shell on and also cleaned / washed both the red mullet and the clams more you can see the ick in the fish and the clams were a little gritty. Light lunch for 3pax - $120ish incl a $11 beer Would recommend coming here as an alternative to the busy main food court you can get a seat whilst still feeling within the hustle bustle of it all, plus music!
