Europcar MELBOURNE ST KILDA

I walked in their on a Saturday morning and got the last car available. The staff member was amazing as, initially there were no cars available and had to look through the inventory and she got me a car. Additionally, it was my first time hiring and she walked me through all the conditions/charges. I drove the brand new car down the great ocean road and returned to Avalon Airport before my flight out. I would definitely recommend Europcar.

Absolutely fine. Walked in 20 minutes earlier than pick up time and drove out 10 minutes later with exactly the car requested. Staff were friendly, calling me by name. Look, it's a hire company. Sometimes you won't get the car you asked for and sometimes you'll wait for ages. This time all good.

The most appalling customer service I have ever experienced. I booked a Ute online on a Friday to move my belongings the following day. The morning of the move I received a call stating the ute was no longer available and that I should not have been allowed to book it. But it had! When I asked how they assist me due to them inconveniencing me and the people I organised to move (in a calm manner mind you) I was told that I was rude and that they would not help me. I was astounded that not only was there NO customer service provided to assist the customer due to their error, I was was made to feel as if I was in the wrong. Just some advice....when a customer gets upset this is due to the fact that they have not been heard and the sales rep has NO customer service, empathy or problem solving skills!! Thank goodness to Thirty who came to the rescued of a damsel in distress.

Service on the day of pick up was good but it's unacceptable that the staff NEVER answer their phones or return your call when you leave a message on the answering system.

The car I hired included a remote control however the battery was flat so I was left in a situation where I could not lock the car and had to buy my own battery. Likewise no water in the windscreen wiper vessel. I've called them at least three times and every time it goes through to answering machine. Car is ok but not a great experience.
