Disgraceful service. Booked and reserved a vehicle and turned up at the airport only for the staff to cancel the order without my consent. They then suggested that I rebook online at an additional $300 cost over 70% more than my original booking. Staff were unhelpful and unapologetic. Went to an alternative rental company who organised a rental in less than five minutes at a fraction of the cost!

I wish I could give a negative star review, absolutely horrendous. Embarrassingly terrible service. To start, I waited nearly 2.5 hours to pick up the vehicle Dec 26 2022. In all fairness, the vehicle was in good condition, functioned fine. Upon return, there was minimal sand on the floor of the car from the beach, could be easily vacuumed up. The lady, without any hesitation or attempt to clean, says they're going to have to get it professionally cleaned. After receiving the bill, the company could provide absolutely no evidence that the car needed professional cleaning, nor any details on the cleaner actually used in my opinion, red flag under the table deal. I question the integrity and character of the employee's working at this particular location, because I've had great experiences otherwise. By the way, I returned a different Europcar with MORE sand from the beach on the floor, out of pure curiosity, to see if something similar happened. I had ZERO issues from the QLD/Brisbane Europcar this was all within 3 weeks. So not only is this organization not standardized, but have different rules regarding such standards, AKA it's subjective, which is exactly what this $300 nonsense charge was, an unfounded, biased, shady charge the was unwarranted and illogical. After a number of email battles with their corporate office, they simply charged everything anyway saying "the manager there told us so". Well no duh, of course they're going to say that. I go back to my original statement that this is biased, shady, unwarranted, and illogical. Prove me wrong Europcar. Oh by the way, instead of pulling this on a number of people, why not just put floor mats or even paper floor mats in if you're so worried. There's a reason you haven't done it, my guess is because it's an easy way to make money which is why you haven't innovated these processes, which other companies seem to have figured out by the way. Lastly, I recommend going with any other company regardless of the prices you may get. Spend the extra $50 or whatever it might be because it will save you more in the long run for issues like this, at least with this particular Europcar location.
Very happy with the car that was hired for me from Europcar Tullamarine. Pickup was easy and drop offwas good too. Nice clean car.
IT'S a SPAM We booked a Van and when we were there, they told us they actually didn't have it and that we needed to pay an extra $100!! so they could give us a different vehicle?!. UNACCEPTABLE! What is the purpose of a contract if they won't honour it? This was a robbery and they actually know it and don't care. The staff have not a clue about anything. STAY FAR, FAR AWAY. I should have review this comments first and go for a serious and reputable company!
Quite a negative experience overall. Quite a few issues with the booking and pickup. Would advise going with another company.
Do not use europcar! I had booked through a third party website QEEQ car hire and insurance. Europcar then charged me again as they said I didn’t have insurance or a booking. Inept. On top of this they put through their double charge twice! Will not be using europcar again. A $288 4 day booking cost me $640.
Charged me for petrol even though I returned it with a full tank. When i saw money had been taken out from my card, I sent and email and asked for explanations they apologised and refunded my money. Take pictures people, that will save you money
Never, never car hire at Europcar Melbourne. They are dishonest! They stole me! I delivered the car with a full tank, I have photos and proof of fueling the car, plus the Europcar receipt on 10/09/2019. Days later they changed the invoice and charged me for the fuel! I sent several emails and they don't even answer me. No answer! Thieves! I want my money back!
Such a useless service, though I’m having a booking reservation they haven’t got a car when I showed up at office. Waste of time and very frustrated with their service.
