Ember is an independent Eatery and Bar in Te Rapa/Pukete, near the Base. Our food is focused around modern takes on street foods and classic southern style BBQ with a latin twist. Our Bar focuses on local Craft beers and Cocktails. Come on down.

Ember Eatery & Bar offers a relaxed dining experience highlighting delicious dishes based on modern tastes as well as classic cuisine. Our Modern Industrial style venue has ample space for functions while accommodating for more intimate bookings.

Excellent food and staff. Loved the overall minimalist style of the interior as well as the exterior. Definitely a great spot for a bite to eat, casual drink or a family feast!

Food Was Good... but the service was slow.... like real slow 
And the restaurant was quiet
Seated.. then at least 15 mins for an order including drinks order. Waitress went to nearby tables multiple times before coming to get our order.

Then meals took an age.... 30 mins for entree then a long wait for mains too.

The meals are tasty 
But quite simple so cant explain the long wait..
Didn't dare order dessert.. woulda been there all night 

Have had good experiences before, not tonight 
Will try again.... maybe

Went for an early dinner.  Staff was friendly, but the Lamb Salad was extremely top heavy with beets, enough to choke a horse.  Also, while the lamb was tasty, it had excessive fat and grizzle.  There was a VERY slight topping of greens.  The server asked how things were and I stated the above information. The response, "I am sorry to hear that and will let the kitchen know.  There was no other feedback.  At checkout, another person asked about the meal, I again stated my concern.  She said, " The dish was not plated properly.  I'll let the kitchen know about your concerns."  There was never a suggestion by staff to replace the dish or make an accommodation.  We will not be back. It was very disappointing. TJ

Great lunch today. Lovely staff. Food was awesome. Wonderful coffee too. Will be back!

Greasy undercooked food and slow service. Won't dine here again for a long time
