On the positive side, the service was fast and efficient. On the negative side, the food is just not authentic Chinese. Cantonese pork listed on the menu was served up with sweet and sour sauce. The sizzling pepper beef had a sort of creamy cheese sauce over it, kind of like creamy pasta sauce. The spring rolls, listed as 4 pieces, were 2 rolls cut in half. Portion sizes for the price were on the smaller side. Honestly disappointed considering the ratings. No table water, paid for tea.
A bit disappointed in fried dumplings. No service mind much from the restaurant. The guy kinda throw the dish on the table. Only good thing is they closed late around 23:00. Don’t really like the taste of the food much. Food is too salty. And dumplings for the prices is a bit too pricey.
Always love coming here as it's open late and working in hospitality not alot of places are open after I've finished work. Also great food and fast service
: @easttaste : 119 Gouger St, Adelaide : Last post from Adelaide trip. Absolutely love the Chinese food here, their Chinatown is just so big! Was recommended by my brother to try the late night food here. : Got the special “off the menu” Congee here with century egg, salted egg, pork, and you tiao. The perfect comfort late night food. My go-to was the Crispy Honey Chicken and the Fried Red Bean Pancake dessert. On my recommended list!!
The food and staff are always good at East Taste and now that I've introduced my family to it we'll all probably become regulars here not just me.Food: 5/5
Been going here for the last 4 years. Great place to go for a late night craving and a cold beer, they’re open until 2am and can be easily one of the best cheap and easy asian place you can eat. Order the crispy beef!! Sooo good
Yum! Some of the best Chinese food available in Adelaide. We had a short wait for a table but it was a busy night in Adelaide as the wallabies played at the oval. We were seated and had drinks within minutes, fried dumplings, shallot pancake, satay beef, east taste fried rice and the surprise of the night and my personal favourite, salt and pepper eggplant. It was so good. Do yourself a favour and try it. Sorry, no photos as I was too hungry. Fed 3 people and a round of drinks for $80.
Came here, got seated and the waitress gave us tea and a menu. Waited 15 mins and I even raised my hand so I could order but the waitress just ignored me. The waiters and waitress here are too busy walking around doing sweet f all. I refused to wait any longer and walked up to the cash register and asked to pay for the tea. Magically the waitress then said they can take my order….. I paid for the tea and left… went to another restaurant a few doors down. You’ll find much better service anywhere along the street. Never step foot in this restaurant again.
Awesome, as always. Quick, seamless service, cheap decent wine list, DELICIOUS food. Can’t fault it. Jellyfish salad and S&P eggplant highlights as always!
My fave place to eat, hands down, every time, without fail. Always good wholesome delicious food. Timely food service, friendly staff.Food: 5/5
