The Dugandan Hotel or "The Dugie" as it is affectionately known is a classic Queensland Country Pub. We serve great pub meals, ice cold beer and award winning wines from Sirromet. Great Aussie atmosphere if you're after that kind of thing. Food was mediocre. If I was them I'd cut down the large menu which suggests a large freezer & focus on better quality. If you're a vegetarian it's pretty much just chips for you.
Made a special trip out to this pub for lunch. Wasn't a very memorable meal. We wanted to sit on the front verandah only to be told no by the lady behind the bar pointing at the no food sign,while she picked up all the empty food plates from those tables. Not a welcoming feeling there at all. Tried it, probably won't rush back.
18 of us had meals here. All came out in a timely manner. Staff were all pleasant. The pub is very old but that just added to the ambience of the place.nOnly one gripe and that relates to the men's urinal. Needs urgent attention.
We absolutely loved this little pub. Great place to stop in on our way back to Brisbane. We both had steaks and they were cooked to perfection along with a fresh salad and chips.nnHighlight is it was dog friendly. Big open/shady area with tables to sit off to the side. Staff were very friendly and accomodating with the best feature being the dog photo wall!nnOverall we would make this our local if we lived in Boonah. We will be back!
First and last time. So went to the Dugandan at Boonah. Was told the meals started at 12. Waited till 12 and ordered. No meal after 45 mins. Went and asked for a refund. Was given the refund and told the order didn't go to the kitchen. No sorry or can we do anything to make it up.nOh, the website states meals start at 1130, sign on the table says the same. Will attached photosnWon't be going to the s@@thole again.
