This is an amazing Cafe, great family service. Staff were friendly, food was delicious, coffee is recommended here. We spoke with the owner for a while she is an amazing personality. 

I'm going to make this our regular stop at Matamata from now on.

Dew Drop Inn for Dissatisfaction 

This place showed a lot of potential but what a disappointment. The coffee at $6 was a bit over priced for the cup of warm milk that it was. I ordered a hobbit panini which I think was the biggest disappointment, I think the photo speaks for itself, very underwhelming and very doughy. Had to search for the salmon. Same goes for the eggs benidict, soggy and overpriced.

The service seemed to be a little aggressive, while the lady who served was trying to "Playful" some of the comments she was making were completely unnecessary. 

For the $50 we spent between the 2 of us, we would have been better to go to Osteria down on the main street for some food, or espresso to go, a 1 minute walk down for some coffee, which we ended up doing after the disappointing cup of milk we had here. 

It will be safe to say, we will not be back.

Cute spot, lots of charm and lovely lady serving. However, our 2 thickshakes took a VERY long time to make, even after checking to see if they were forgotten. In the end we had to leave with them, and they turned out to be milkshakes which was a bit disappointing.

This was a nice NOT A FRANCHISE place. Somewhere to make you smile with it's random style and general qurkiness. I wouldn't go there for consitancy, but I would if you like real people and places (faults and all). For us it was a good find.
