I went to eat dinner here on Saturday night. The restaurant was very quiet, more so than I have seen it in the past and the decor is looking very old. The place could do with an entire renovation. Service was very slow, a pair of ladies who entered the restaurant after us received their food before and when our food did arrive there was a fly in the salad. Needless to say we did not eat here and will not be returning ever again. Worst part was that our offer to pay for our drinks was not declined, despite the insect, and them offering us free food. Surely free drinks would have been ok?  Am only giving 1 star because I cannot post without giving them a rating. If I could give a -1 rating I would.

Have been here a few times over the past couple of months and have found the food to be excellent with generous helpings. It never takes long for the order to be taken and food prepared. The coffee has also been consistently good. My only complaint would be the noise level as it does get very busy and tables are rather close together.

Popped in here for a late breakfast and ordered the vegetarian breakfast with fried eggs for me and poached for my partner as well as a side order of bacon that we shared. Everything was great and the serves were very generous. Love their coffee too. Although it is always extremely busy, staff are attentive and the wait is never long.

Don't be shocked by the high prices on the menu at the entrance. Meals are quite big and freshly made to a high standard. Staff service is excellent as they pay close attention to detail to ensure the cafe runs smoothly with a polite manner. Place is clean as tables are constantly wiped down by staff. They even top the water in your glass up as soon as it is empty. No free wifi, but wifi is not needed with a well polished interior and TV's around the place. A great place to go for lunch and/or dinner with friends or family.

After all the year visiting degani in uni hill this time was the worst, all the food was horrible to the point i will not return there again. The pancakes were extremely doughy and the berries were too overwhelming to eat, even though they re-brought us a "fresh" batch they still tasted horrible and doughy. we then got a plate with eggs and avo- which costs a ridiculous amount $14.90 and it was too overcooked and the bread was over-toasted and the whole meal was just bland and difficult to swallow, + paying $4+ on their GST charges we ended up paying $52 on three plates that tasted horrible and un-edible. for me to pay over $50 id expect something amazing not something that looks like its just been thrown on the plate without consideration if it is even cooked properly or tastes acceptable. THE WORST EXPERIENCE
