The three hour river cruise was fascinating, I was good to the front of the boat outside watching the waterfront villas and the park landscape. All you can drink tea and coffee.
I highly recommend this sunset dinner cruise. We celebrated my Mum’s 60th birthday having a sunset dinner cruise, the service was exceptional from start to finish, the food was amazing, the crispy skin salmon and scotch fillet steaks all cooked to perfection, the creamy mash was delicious and vegetables nice and fresh and the chefs sauces were also delicious, we had six kids in our party and they also catered to the kids so well and as noisy as kids are the staff were so patient and accommodating and we all really appreciated that so much! Thank you again for having us, we look forward to coming back on board again.
Lovely ferry and about the only public transport to the Bundeena end of the Royal National Park. The ferry we were on was constructed in the late 40’s, so my kids got a kick out of being on a boat that was older than their grandad. The timetables are very close - we came running off the Royal Coastal Walk at 4, just in time to see them pull away!
This is an absolute treat and adventure, built 1939, beautiful boat, the Skipper and Decky friendly and helpful. Bundeena Beaches and walks spectacular. Here's a tip do the Jibbon walk come back to the ferry via IGA pick up a cracker pie and a couple of beers and take in the beautiful scenery from in front of the famous Gary Shead sculpture of his Wife while watching the boys collect you for the return trip. $8.00 well spent hey.
I love these old ferries. The Bundeena ferry is always a fun trip. Yesterday, we took the Grandkids on the 3 hour river cruise. And even though the weather was a bit wet, they had a fabulous time riding at the front of the boat. I will have to repeat the trip on another day without the Grandkids so I can enjoy the commentary and take a good look at the old photo albums of the area. Great day out.
